My friend and I were going to see who would finish Half Life 2 first and he beat me so I stopped playing it. The damn game was just way too long. But I beat hime to Doom 3 so we even.

American McGee's Alice was one that I forgot to mention too. I only finished it cause my girlfriend started to play it and she almost reached where I was in the game. Since no one else in my crew had finished it I decided that I would have to. The game not really that long but it hard no a$$.

Man Hunt get's my vote for the most fullfilling ending. I don't want to spoil it for people who haven't finished it yet but let's just say that that annoying disembodied voice that keeps instructing you throughout the game gets his comeupins.

By the time i get ot level3 on tomb raider i got fedup!! eaven with cheets i never finish! i got fedup of using cheets! long boring game! to hard ot move around!

Another long game is GTA:SA it wasnt hard but it took me awile to beat (bout 3wks)

wtmc... half life 2 was short.... and EASY it took me like 3 days to beat it.. only troubling part was the city levels where you had to run from striders without any way to kill them..
Doom 3 was about the same length but it seemed alot longer..
Quake 4 was nice but after awhile the same ''doom 3 '' stile running through dark corridors got boring...
Cod 2 < Cod 1 ,was easy except for the ''survive 10 min missions'' that had you up against unlimited enemies and bombing runs... Game dissapointed alot , it was no major improvement over Cod 1 ( cod UO was better) , no cooking of grenades , no bullets through thin walls , wood , glass etc. and minor historical inaccuracies eg. the same weapon with a ''scoped'' mode wouldn't take ammo from ''unscoped''guns of the exact same calibre and make like it was in reality ...

Chrono trigger was the best , beat it the other week on emulator... you know you can kill Lavos in many ways , once you reach the ''end of time'' you can run off and challange him without finding most of the chars .. You can even finish the game with ''chrono'' dead . i want to get Chrono Cross ....

Sieken Densetsu ( secret of mana 2) was great too , even more open ended storyline and lots of replayability .. They should bring it out for DS , kickass graphics and storyline , it would rape the psp .

Diamond was SH!t , no story ,not even in proper english.... All pokemon games lacked a good story but that was the worst.... The best imo was gold/silver....

beating them games without cheats was pure hell.

final fantasy 7! i actually finished it! but it was very long! i went on to beal all weapons{my lord f**kin long to do)! it took approk 1hour and 1a half to beal emerald weapon! and that was just one fight! the cutscenes were great but end game they got very annoying! but it is a kick ass game!

Hmm.....let me see. The hardest game i've ever played.....probably Ninja Gaiden Black (burn in hell Alma!!!!). And Mercenaries has got to be one the most frustrating games i've played in a while. One of my favorate games, but more fun with cheats at hand (unlimited ammo, not god mode). Longest game has to Morrowind for PC. I mean the game takes around 200-300 to explore everywhere!!! I have a life people. I got tired about 30 hours in. Dumped it for Oblivion (the graphics keep me more interested). Oh and Doom 3 sucked by the way. The only thing it had going for it is graphics, but it got old, really fast. Sorry:)

Luckily it doesnt suck as much as the movie did, however i'll appreciate u dont hate on the game too much cuz i mean it wasnt great, but not that bad either.

well Super Mario Brothers was my first game really, was hard for me at the time.

Romancing SaGa 3
Final Fantasy 3
Final Fantasy 4,5,6 (more long than hard, only hard if you don't spend the time gaining levels)
Terranigma
Zelda II (never finished it first time i spent some time behind it, but years later i picked it up again and finished)
Half Life wasn't hard, but longer than i was expecting it to be, Doom 3 as well
Lufia II
Blackthorne
R-Type 3
Super R-Type
Super Mario World: Super Demo World hack (check this out mario fans, amazing hack)
Neverwinter Nights (pretty long rpg, not really hard)

some of these are from a while back

games i never finished:

Ultima VII
Breath of Fire (the way the game played became frustrating, and i think some glitch happened and an event wouldn't occur, and i didn't feel like starting over)
After Burner for the NES
Dungeon Siege (after the ice dungeon, i got a lil tired of it)

Forget what i said before....Panzer Dragoon Orta & Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes are the 2 hardest games in existence....nuff said. Oh, and believe it or not, I didn't think Doom the movie was too bad, I mean it wasn't half good, but it wasn't all bad either. Better than the game in my opinion.

Unreal - The very first one that introduced the sweet graphics and bad @$$ AI was one hell of a long game. I think I reached about halfway and just didn't have the heart to continue.

Need for Speed Underground - In terms of racing games, I find this game real hard. Somehow I find myself racing a lot of races on Easy and having a hard time. You have to race absolutely perfect in some races to win and the traffic doesn't help either.

Gran Turismo 4 - Speaking of racing games, anybody ever get gold in all the license tests? Didn't think so.

Super Monkey Ball - If there is one game to test the patience of even the most hardcore gamer, this is it. Try it and tell me I'm wrong.

Half Life 2 i didnt find it was that long but some of the puzzles kinda mess with your head i know some people who gave up by the ramp wit the swamp raft.
Doom3 this game is FCUKED up
