looks like it competes very well against the 7900gt, but then again, the higher clocked 16 pipe (single shader per pipe) x1800xt also was competing well agaisnt the 7900gt. At over $300, the question becomes for those buying - is it any faster than the x1800xt which is $50 cheaper?!?? can it oc even nearly as well as the 7900gt which has very easy volt mods, and can compete with the bigger 7900gtx in speed ??
and finally - now there's a whopping 3 cards to look at in the $300 range, and nothing in the $200 point because after the 7600gt at $164 (newegg rebate) the only worth stepup, is the x1800xt at $260.
Single slot, and hotter than the 9th circle of hell (look out prescott!)
