Now this is a truly well intentioned idea that I like. Not that I am a fan of dancing video games and I think that even so you could get scrutinized for having terrible coordination... however I think its a step in the right direction have a read:

THERE'S A growing problem in America and one state has a plan to fight it.
West Virginia's public school system will be instituting Konami's Dance Dance Revolution in its physical education program, in an effort to bring down the state's 62% obesity rate.
They're starting with 103 of the junior high and middle schools over the next two months and then expanding into the other 662 elementary and high schools. The goal is to reach kids who don't like competitive sports, the same kids who might be more interested in video games.
Instead of skipping class to avoid the discomfort and humiliation of being picked last, and reinforcing the dislike of physical activity, obese kids will be able to a more personal aerobic regimen, using the game's built-in workout mode, that tracks burned calories.
Sounds like a good plan. I never really liked gym class either.
