A good way to learn some tips and tricks that would be useful in future is to run a search on www.google.com for "photoshop tutorials". There are a lot of them out there and by going through them you'll learn what all the different features can be used for and how to use them. Very useful.

or you can probably check out kazaa, select documents and search adobe photoshop, you may find some acrobat reader documents on how to use photoshop. (ive done this with Illustrator, but unfortunately for me you need to read the manual to learn how to use the program

)

dude try sumthing lesser before u use photoshop.it is not for beginners.try an older version maybe

Actually, sometimes its best to just jump into the hard stuff, rather than get spoiled with the easy way...Photoshop isn't really all that hard to learn how to use. The hard part is knowing when to use what.

I assume you mean an animated GIF as Photoshop can handle normal ones. For animated GIFs use ImageReady, comes with Photoshop.
