Know Any Places to Unlock phones plz reply...

Hey dis is dax here. Ok my problem is that I bought a Nokia 6620 in America from Cingular. The thing is that its locked. But there's more.....I made a mistake when I used codes by myself to try to unlock it. So right now its on a secruity lock. Ok so my question is if anybody know where I will be able to take off this secruity lock and therefore unlock my phone normal. I beg of U....If u have any information on how to get my phone unlocked plz relpy....

hmm well like i said i'm not into the nokia scene but i could checkup something,
most likey is something that u could do by hooking up yuh phone to a data cable right at home

Idk...if I could unlock the secruity lock. Idk anything at this point. I have tried places and they said that they couldn't unlock my phone. So I'm guessing its completly locked. Nokia told me to reset the phone and then it will be able to unlock from there. But in order for me to do that I will need to send it back to Cingular way up in America just to ship it back down here. I don't want to do that right now. So I'm looking for any suggestions on a way to unlock it.

ok well i've flash motos already, not nokias
what happens is that newer firmware and stuff is created that fixes bugs and stuff in the phone (like when the phone freezes when acessing certain stuff) or actually make the general speed of the phone faster (like when acessing menus etc)

for instance, right now i have a v505 phone, that uses a firmware that only the early vxxx phones (600, 500, 400, 300) uses
every so often a new firmware would come out and if i think that my phone runs glitchy then i could choose to flash it with he newer one in hope that it runs better.
(the firmware is made as v600 btw so if someone uses the flash on lets say a v300, the the 300 will have the video playback ability of the 600 and will be recognised as a 600)

now flashing a phone basically carries to phone back to the manufactorer settings, all the pics, vid, msg everything clears but since u never got to use yours than thats no big deal.
so my theory is that by flashing it the security lock will be removed since it would come like the wrong code was never entered

now the trouble with flashing is that if u get a wrong flash (one for another series of phones) u can kill the phone, it has programs that could bring it back though.

my advice:
dont take my word for it, look up flashing nokia phones, and read up on about your model. see the risks and whatnot and then decide if u want to try it.
if u do decide, make sure and get the right flash for your model and the software needed ( i'm pretty busy these days with school and thing but if after searching u need help finding these files i'll try and find them)

also look for a guide for flashing the phones, there should be many.

look for an unbranded flash as well, if u get one then most likely i wouldn't have a sim lock so u'll be free to use whatever sim u want

Hey Xenos....It sounds like a really good idea.....but there are the disadvantages where my phone could get screwed up like it already is. I think I will be best if i could try the data cable thing cuz ppl tell me that it might work with the right unlocking software. I just have to borrow the cable. Do u know where I could get the right unlocking software for my phone or for any phone in general?

to get security code/change it, download PST Phone programmer.
File>New>Security File>Read values from phone>Apply some common sense and fix up

Hey.......well ppl I finally got my phone unlocked. I did some real searching and I finally found a place. All u have to do is go in town and go in Bradford Mall. There are like a few Cell phone places there but only one can do it right. Umm I can't really remember the name of the store but they did it for like $200. If u know any other places that can do it for less plz post it up and save everybody else the stress lol. Well thanx everybody who helped out. Till Next Time
