It would be cool to see Bryan Master play, and since he is a 'really' good player as you guys state, he'd beat me either way, so it doesn't affect him now does it? Heh. Peace.

Haha, I agree, let's see some of his gameplay.

datta i don't believe we've seen you play either, weren't you at the AC t5 tourney that drl won ? I know your parents strict and all of that , but the fact that you haven't won or much less been seen playing tekken outside of anime city I don't think you're in a position to be fueling the fire regardless of how good you may claim to be or actually are. jin11 on the other hand can talk his talk because he has track record to prove that he is good.  In short his is between jin11 and bryan leave it at that.

Firstly, the Ac tourney was the first time ever I played t5, plus on crappy pads. There were some guys playing before, and the drl guy said he was one. Obviously, he had a chance to try the new gameplay. So that doesn't count.

Secondly, I am not fuelling any fire, just making a valid point. When people saw gameplay of Jang, KBM, Quadans, Leedy, NIN, the top guns in tekken, that allowed them to make assumptions about their level of gameplay. You can be an inexperienced tekken player, watch one match with any of these guys, and see how they dominate. Seeing vids can tell you whether the person is a scrub or an expert, or if his opponents just lack in skill.

Thirdly, jin11 is my friend, so I back him up.

Don't worry. I'll have a car in a week, and after exams, I'll be free christmas time. If there are no tourneys ohsted in central area, I'll try to come to the tech source place. I'll also bring my own pad. Then you can judge my gameplay when I have started practicing tekken again and regained some of my form.

Hey guys, just a little update.

We'll be sending out our newsletter this weekend. For those of you that would like to receive it, you can either put your email in this forum or you can subscribe by sending an email to info@vxg2k6.com.

The Video X-Games will put its highly anticipated ranking system into effect by the begining of December. The system, codenamed the "Vx-Guage", will be used to rank all contestants in snactioned tournaments on St. Maarten and around the Caribbean according to a complex formula that takes many factors into account, such as the number of contestants, contestant ranking, number of kills, points and other bonusses, level of the event, streak bonusses and many others. The result is a total of points that is awarded to the player.

More info on the system will be available on our website by the end of this week (www.vxg2k6.com).

What a coincidence.

Our caribbean ranking system goes on line December also.

Maybe we can join forces rather than have two competing caribbean ranking systems.

Defintely a possiblity, but we'll bring out our ranking system anyway and see if its compatible with others from there. The Vx-Guage already tries hard to balance both the needs of our two major affiliates: Evo fighting championship and WCG... so whatever we do will have to be along those lines. I would strongly suggest you keep their guidelines (at least WCG's) too.

As i mentione din the post, it will only apply to tournaments that are sanctioned, so if competition wish to have their contestants ranked, they can submit their tournaments for sanctioning.

Our system is derived from the ESWC.

They have adapted a version for our caribbean region. It is very expensive stuff.

Would be a shame if both systems aren't interoperable since most of the games will overlap.

Glad to see you guys are making progress!

We need to talk further about arrangements for getting the current caribbean tekken champ to the event, granted that Tekken 5 is on the roster.

I haven't seen a game roster yet. Is it still to be decided?

Ok... game roster is still in the works... the main reason we don't want to put one out is because we don't want people to think "Thats it?"...

See, we can't rule out the games that are out and coming out for XBOX 360, and also even those for ps3... so there are a lot of games still that m ight sneak in...

Here are the sureshot games:
Tekken (version pending)
Street fighter (CVS and 3S, other versions pending)
Soul Calibur 3
Need For Speed (version pending)
Halo 2
Fight Night (Version Pending)
NBA Live/NBA @K (one of the two series, latest version)
FIFA or Pro Evolution (this will be decided by whcih soccer game gets more votes)
Super Smash Bros Melee
WWE Smackdown (Version pending)

And probbaly a few others... i did this off the top of my head, so those are the ones that will be in FOR SURE... but there is a good chance many other games are in...

Remeber that VxG is a very democratic competition, in that we involve the society in selecting our game-roster, while still trying to keep up to date withthe international standards that we require, in order to keep our EVO, WCG, ans Shoryuken affiliations.

Naruto... I'll be honest: I've neevr seen anyone on St. Maarten play the game.I saw it up in the Netherlands, and i know that the guys coming from there and England have been requesting it. There is a good chance for it to get in.

Update: Just had a phonecall withthe head refereee, and our official game roster will be publicly released on February 4th. We'll update everyone accordingly. Please sign up to our forums at www.vxg2k6.com so we can keep you up to date with thtese developments. Also, thank you guys for your pre-regsitration forms so far, you will receive a response in about 3 business days. For those of you who haven't pre-regsitered, please do so. There is no obligation once you send in the form, it is for information purposes only.
