Slim PS2 USB Hard Drive Question

I was wondering if i get a USB hard drive...one of those pocket drives if it can connect to my slim ps2.

What software would i need ?

I was reading i would need USB Extreme or something so...anything else ?

Anyone tried it with success ?

And is how available is USB Extreme ?....can it be sourced by *cough* "download methods" ?

he used a regular usb2 housing and some special boot up cdrom.

worked, but some video from games was hiccupin.

hey, i recently got a slim ps2 with usb and would like to know exactly what i can do with it, like, can a usb  flash drive be used instead of a memory card?

Was even thinking of a USB fan...wonder if it would work ?
