“A History of Violence”
In a small suburban town in America, a family man named Tom Stall (played by Viggo Mortenson) is living his normal life, until one faithful day. At Tom’s work (a Diner) two killers walks in one night and they try to kill Tom. But Tom defends himself and he single-handedly kills them both, saving both the customers and the other employees.
Tom is hailed a hero and he draws the attention of an unknown and scarred individual (played by Ed Harris) who believes Tom is someone else…
This film was directed by David Cronenberg and he made some cool movies such as “The Fly” and “eXisTence”. This movie starts of a teeny bit slow, but the story, acting, not to mention the graphic makeup effects are breathtaking. The violence in this movie is very graphic and intense, so therefore not for the queasy type. My only true complaint was a very weak ending and the lack of violence. However this probably the goriest movie I’ve seen this year, so I wasn’t totally disappointed…check it out….
Rated R for strong brutal violence, graphic sexuality, nudity, language and some drug use.
