CoD 2 preview : a bit dissapoiting

  I had much higher  expectations for this game , it hasn't improved on the standard CoD formula much  ,  weapons feel a bit different, a few new movments eg. 'space' to leap over a wall/windowsill.,  All the talk about an updated physics engine and better AI.. i haven't seen once AI do anything smarter than run from a grenade ( into my line of fire usually)  , or anything fly around besides bullets  and shrapnel   , the graphics engine update can be seen in the shading and bump mapping used , but the textures in the demo are low resultion and blurry.. the desert map looks  washed out  like an old shirt ....   
   I won't even bother to post screenshots,  the original COD looks better than this demo , hopefully  some issues wil be resolved in the full version ...
    Don't study my dour tone , For anyone who loves the original Call of Duty , they will love this  ,  I sure do  ! , but don't expect anything fresh , new or innovative besides the graphics... basically just CoD with a pile of new maps .   Still fun...
   Multiplayer might redeem it all... have to wait and see.

 bored.. so screenshots anyway , possibly the low resolution textures are because the game was also designed for Xbox 360  and low end pcs , which only have 512 RAM , game uses about 450mbs of system ram and 128mb or so video ram, so a direct port from PC to console won't need much modification  since the Xbox runs on C++ anyway .
      Console games usually use a massive amount of shading to hide low resolution textures like these as we see in halo , everything shiny so you don't notice how blurred and washed out the whole game is , the next gen of consoles , Ps3 and Xbox 360 etc., should have come with 1024mb or more RAM instead of 512mb , GDDR3 and DDR 2 is cheap enough as it is and it will help image quality alot . especially since they are designed to last another 7-10 years cause of the cost of investing in them ( microsoft lost 10 billion making xbox) and they are designed to work with high resolution HDTV displays , where low resolution textures will look extra  horrible as opposed to a blurry TV screen .

COD 2 is the baddest game I've seen for the year.

You have to be a real COD fan to enjoy and appriecate such an

outstanding and realistic reinactment of WW2

  no... i love  it , what i dislike is that its THE SAME DAMNED THING ALL OVER AGAIN    , all the years in development have resulted in game that looks slightly different but plays the same  ,  no innovation  , no uber AI that will make you wet your pants , no amazing physics , graphics ain't that hot compared to FEAR or even HL2    .
