I don't think this was the best place to post this but anyway, Wat the hell is Mario's first name?

??

My logic is that the game was called Super Mario Bros. This points out that their surnames are Mario. I could understand Luigi Mario but Mario Mario. He can't have a name like that.
One of my friend said something that in japanese language, a person's surname is infront of their first name and another one said that it was some translation error when it was translated to english. I just posted this to find out the truth, then laugh at them if they wrong.

Yup. Despite the fact that the movie was a big pile of horse manure, Nintendo has accepted Mario's full name to be 'Mario Mario', which, technically would make sense because that would explain why they are called the "Super Mario Bros."

On an entirely different note, Mario was based on the old landlord of the original HQ of Nintendo, Mario Segali. You'd see that on the Wiki entry, but meh. Might as well let the cat out of the bag here and now.

Mario's first name is Super. I know about 4 people with that name. One of them owns a hardware with a big sign with the name of it if you think I'm full of it.

Ok. I could live with calling him Mario, but what are the chances that his childhood friend could be his evil counter part, who by some chance have a brother who is Luigi's evil counter part. Im talking about Wario and Waluigi.
