Booting from D drive

OK here's the scene - i have 2 hd's one in which i put all my OS stuff like XP and anti vir etc
but here's the problem the games i copied from one machine at home doth not work in anyplace else than

C:/games
SO i have a problem because the OS hd which is the C: drive is a 10 GIG
and my D: where i wanted to have all my games and potentially deadly stuff  wont run most of the games any ideas suggestions? HELP!?

What exactly is preventing the games from running from another location? Not sure I understand your meaning.

You could also look into increasing the size of the partition...via Partition Magic or some other software...

its not a partitiion its two separate drives

here's the thing
The games are installed into c:\games
I cant inst my games to that directroy becaust their isnt nuff space
the problem i am getting is that some games are folder specific

just install the games from the original CDs to any location you like on the computer in question.

Just copying them across won't work because when you install a game, it also updated the windows registry with important information, like CD-Key and Hard Drive location.

You would have to edit the registry to mirror the changes, including the new location.

I am figuring u want o keep all ur save games and profiles or else u'd hav ereinstalled without a hitch. You'll have to go thru each game folder and search for the profiles and save games. Then once u've reinstalled simply copy the folders replacing the new ones with ur old ones. Most games don't have a problem with this method, the most i've seen is that they will tell u the profiles don't match (eg. Farcry,UT2004) but it will still work.
