and some imps in high government said we could handle a terror attack.

lol @ imps

If that was really meant to be a terrorist attack though, he certainly could have chosen a better target. KFC Independence Sq would have made more sense.
Then again, a man messing wit KFC will have every person in the country hunting them.

I doubt its a terrorist attack , a terrorist scare would be followed or preceded by threats , terrorists would have used higher yield explosives or chemicals  and targeted something more important than civilians eg. police station, white hall . Most likely gang related / drug related sh!T that we are used to .
The police acted fast, though they couldn't do sh!t , we don't have a proper forensics lab so collecting the debris was a waste of time .

For we guys, fragmentation grenades are akin to everyone else's semtex.FIREPOWER iwmc!
But I do think if he was trying to kill people, he chose a rather lame spot to use it.

I've set up a flickr pool to store all images that have been recorded of the incident thus far. It stands at a paltry 4 images right now. If possible, take as many pictures as you can even if it's pictures of your tv screen.

According to the news, there was also a bomb scare at the Ministry of National Security at 11:30 this morning - 2 1/2 hours before the Frederick Street explosion. The Trincity Mall scare was at 5:30pm.

They can't bomb everywhere in the country. And besides, looking at it objectively, that was a pretty poor explosive compared to what someone with an anarchist's handbook could cook up.

People take this fear thing too far thinking that they aren't safe going to the grocery and stuff. C'mon people, let's not turn into paranoid fools like the Americans.

...somehow I don't consider this to be the work of terrorists...I more believe it could be gang-related.... it's not that farfetched, it is a fact that gang members are being found with such devices in recent times...

It would explain the guy found with gunshot wounds as well....

Terrorism isnt that hard to define.

there are alot of day to day crimes that could be counted as terrorism if  we were to get over technical.

But a criminal act directed towards the public at large to induce fear and or serious damage to a group or sect of people is what terrorism is.
