maybe someone can enlighen me. i had a CNR modem b4 and a PCI modem now. with the CNR i get d/l speeds of 5.5k/s consistently while with the PCI modem i get really low d/l speeds 3.0 k/s. y is that? is there any setting i'm using wrongly? i think that they should have the same speeds. the PCI modem is Intel.

Are u getting the same connection speeds when the modem is finished with its negotiations? or are u connecting at lower speeds?

i think they connect at abt the same speed maybe 3 kbps more with the CNR
