Green dot seems on the verge of going public , people are already recieving flyers for the service in the mail, and i noticed a gradual decline in bandwidth over the past week , from 512k to around 350 to 200 ... now it seems i have to fight to get 150k , this means than green has alot more people on board and their satellite backbone is bieng overwhelmed , so soon they will upgrade to an optic fibre line with alot more bandwidth , download speeds will go back up and pings come down , and not long after they will have time to focus on gatt game server hosting !

eh czar what sense that made? they unlocked all the ports already and you can use just about anything , you paying a little more for 4-5x the bandwidth than dialup ? I can clearly see that you are related to kaleb.....

Look lil boy, doh make me start on you nah...
Some things you need to take into consideration before you open that space in yuh face...
1. The speed sucked ass for me...no 2 ways about that.
2. Who cares if the ports are unlocked if the speeds suck ass?
3. I pay $0 for my dialup connection, so unless you consider $375 + VAT "a little more"...need I carry on with this point?
4. 4-5x the bandwidth?!? HA!! If I could get 2-3x my current bandwidth, I
might
have considered keeping green. But I didn't, so bye bye green.
5. Doh bring family into any conversation here...you really doh want to go down that path youth.

Yeah it seems they did just like tstt, introduced with high speeds then cap a few months down the road with more users.
Anyone know if it is possible to pay extra and get a 512 on a residential line?
Still I hadda say fiberline was the worst "broadband" ISP look at their price for a 64k connection :s

Fiberline is de pits... nuf said
recently had an internet cafe switch from them to dsl... they're very impressed so far
I doh know why they don't just sell out and let someone else more competent run that show... Cable internet should be TSTT mc's rival to the end!!!
I have a pal who recently moved to the states (Gotaku) and is Optimum Online ihmc... 11Mbps internet + cable for only US$49.99

Nah wireless will bring tstt down.... from what i hear green dot already has over 300 customers , they are growing faster than predicted so for this month they had to cut down bandwidth to 128k till they upgrade to a larger backbone, I see green dishes and transmitters all across the country , from in grande and santa rosa heights to places in westmoorings already , i'd say they will hit 1000+ customers early next year and start to be a headache for TSTT's dialup , as bushmen will be switching over to green , there are internet cafe's in grande still running dialup , tobago has no real broadband up to now and most of south is flat and easy to point a transmitter at... and still no DSL for them... Green will hopefully make tstt get their act together......
Green already robbed TSTT of 300 customers , thats 105000TT or more assuming most were on unlimited dialup , tstt won't miss 100 000 much , but once green starts going into the millions TSTT will be hurting and go for desparate measures ..
