9600s overclock great , prime card for low end or medium end system  , just be careful not to push them past 600mhz without serious cooling   .

WAT DO U SUGGEST AS A PROGRAM TO OC IT?

512 ddr 400 pc3200
160gb 7200rpm ide
sapphire radeon 9600pro

( doin addin 512 more ram in a couple months )

 ati drivers come with overclocking tools by default , just look around in your driver settings  , that and ATI tool to test for artifacts and your maximum clock speed   http://www.techpowerup.com/atitool/ , just make sure to run an intensive 3d game for a few minutes before trying to find your ' maximum clock' with ATI tool, a normal games heats up the graphics card alot more than the stress test ATI tool has .

ATI comes with oc tools thats a new 1 to me.
ATI Tool is what the pro's use it pushes the card beyond what a normal hame like hl2 would the 9600 cna be unlocked

ONLY in some bundles do OC software come with
because while searching for the 9600 pro
the different bundles were shown

they noormally package with Redline OC software
atleast with the 9600 pro

works great makes OCing alot simpler + less risk

 its called overdrive , only works for 9600xt / 9800xt and later cards though , but there is a registry tweak to enable it for all .  It comes with the default ATI driver bundle , omega drivers and other mod drivers usually package something seperate .

lol @ not OCing much.

let me suggest not bothering to OC if these cards are for the GL comps.

You could possibly cause instability issues that paying customers won't be happy about at all. Manufacturers are also quite wary of RMA for ambiguous problems. You may take months to get the card swapped if you run into trouble, if at all.

If is for your home machine, then OC away! It's your risk to take.
