Arima LAN party : problem solved !

 The clan wanted a way to celebrate the last day of tests , and we came up with a great idea : LAN PARTY ! Instead of at an internet cafe where we'd have to pay , we simply drag our machines to my house , run some wire and SWEAT !  Seeing as we live fairly close together , parents have no problem with permission , I already have a switch , crimper and wire  , all we need is to outfit the clan member's pcs with the required parts
( i already have a good video card and extra RAM... ) and organise food . 
     Seeing that this is a small LAN (4 people) i don't really need much assistance , but  in the future , we may want to look to GATT for assistance in the form of borrowed PCS / Switches/ routers .
   Hopefully by July 1st -2nd the Green dot WAN will be set up, and since i'm already connected to green, everyone else on it, and cafe's , wil be able to challenge the Black scorpions at low pings .
       For CXC we'll probably be organising something big... maybe borrow 3 switches and use the other 2 houses already on the network for gaming space... and borrow a few Pcs and allow BYOC for all who can , it would probably be open to alll GATTERS  in the area ( with a limit of like 24 people or so ) .

I wouldn't hold my breath on that if I were you...major stickage idmc. Too many promises and too little delivery.

 LAN party delayed till the first monday in july.... all green dot has to do is give us a way to find out own ip on the local network ... no work in that .... I'v asked the moterolla people for it but they say ' we only give such information to ISP's ' .

yeah, I would go with czar advice. Don't count on the wlan gaming network being in place by then. (and they say I am an optimist, lol)

 i got 1  8 port switch  thats half full :
1. Green dot ethernet cable
2. crossover to my pc
3. Crossover to neighbour number 1
4. crossover to neighbour number 2

So i need 2 - 3 more to host my tournament , and my currant switch will connect to the rest , and i want SWITCHES only... hubs  suck for big gaming/ transfers , and routers too much stress .
   I might have to charge a small fee for everything , maybe a 20 for the night? less than sweat price normally is and tiefing friend/ brother pc , buying 5 bucket of chicken and 10 jalitre of mountain dew isn't easy .

Once you are going BYOC, you have no need for our rigs. Hustle the east men on the forum to come down for a Black Scorpion beatin.

Talk to JD. He may have a rig and be keen on a beating.

But best to keep it close to home. Find all the fellas in the area who sweat and get dem on GATT. Hype up the scene and show 'em the power of BYOC.
