At E3 Square Enix gave gamer a preview of what to expect their games to look like on the yet to come PS3. The thing is they have decided to tease us with images of re done intro to square's biggest hit Final Fantasy 7!!

Unfortunately to everyones dismay, it was just a demo!! There will be no remake of Final Fantasty 7 for the PS3!

to me it looks like final fantasy advent children hmmm what are they tryin to pull off bluf? looks good anyways but final fantasy advent children has cloud in it SO AHA! lies!!!

you understand what i was saying? E3 showed a technical demo featuring an intro from Final Fantasy 7, of how the game would look if they remade it for the PS3

Um....no offense shogun, but...this kinda real old...

And they even stated that there isnt gonna be any plans to remake FFVII....

But what is most amazing about it, is that they were dropping hints taht it was real time....I find it hard to believe, but I'm not gonna dismiss it, it can be true....

it is advent children that is a scene in advent children i have the japanese version lol blufs but then again there tryin to say that could be te graphics on a ps3 hmmmm......<>

wellyeah i was expecting a remake prayin for one on ps2 its like wayyy better than 8 and 9 i really wanted one on egm and game pro they said they might of be makin one but let them make it for ps3 plz theres a new title from the final fantasy 7 universe for psp cant remeber the name

its not from a 3d movie , you can see a little aliasing and textures blurring in the backround like a real 3d game , there are already games out there with close to this level of detail , Doom III , HL2 , Vampires .
With in game graphics like this , Square / Enix may abandon most of the CG sequences that they normally incorperate into their games at critical story telling moments , 3d Engines can already depict good facial animation etc. , the only thing CG sequences would be needed for large scale sequences where there is transition from several areas at high speeds eg. going from castle , to airship , to ocean in the space of 10 seconds.

Actually the crowd bawl when they see Jack Sparrow in the Kingdom Hearts 2 trailer, and they bawl again for the FF7 Advent Children trailer.

Actually i did too. I know real ppl didnt like it, but to me it felt LIKE a you watching a BIG cutscene froma game. I loved it, the animation does STILL have you in awe boy. Some characters really border on photorealism. I think Cid was one of them.

i currently playing chain of memories... pretty cool game

and um yeah i didn't like spirits within.
yes the 3D animation was top notch, and very well worth noting, but the whole plot of the movie needed help.

And also, over at the GameSpot forum, people have been getting the same email, and saying that Square stating that there is a good posibality that FF7 is gonna be remade for the PS3.

jed ff7 is still the hardest ...but a new ff comin out hmmm must beat out FF X-2 lol <never bothered to>
its like 2 years now they have been stating to make a remake for ff.7.8 and 9 but we just waiting maybe for ps3 they gonna do that

A remake? A remake? *runs off to place of worship to pray for it to be true*... well all I can say is... if they remake FF7 for the PS3. I would willfully run out and buy a PS3 just for that ONE game. I loved it THAT much. *starts saving pennies*. WE can only HOPE this rumour is true.
