A while back I posted a thread and a Pic that showed an intel P4 and an AMD Opteron working in the same mobo. HOwever that was not at the same time. It was an add in Riza card I believe that allowed u to use a AMD processor instead of the onboard slot for the intel. Now we have something a lil different. Now we have BOTH working AT THE SAME TIME, in the SAME SYSTEM. Heres the article:
Tatung shows off combined AMD, Intel server

WE STOPPED BY the Tatung stand to be gobsmacked by the TUD 4010 high performance blade server which lets you plug in dual Intel LV Xeon EM64T processors and AMD HE Opteron processors at the same time.
This machine has 10 server blades at the front, two Gigabit switch blades at the back, as well as two management blades and one KVM switch blade. All blades, the blower modules and the power supplies are hot swappable.
The machine uses Amphus Manage Site for manageability and has two blower modules at the back. And do those things blow. Yes, they do.
Tatung had some other server options out there including a dual Intel LV Xeon 800MHz front side bus. The BS4210 supports up to 8GB of ECC registered DDR 333 memory using the Intel E7320 chipset.
The BS 4110 is a dual Opteron server blade which supports 8GB of DDR400 memory, dual 1Gbs Ethernet network cards, dual IDE 2.5-inch hard drives, and one low profile PCI-X slot.
Tatung also has a Via Eden based think client, the TC100, which clocks at 1GHz, and supports Windows CE 5.0 and Xpe operating systems, has PXE for booting from LANs and a heap of IO options.
The firm is obviously agnostic about which CPUs it uses, but having a machine that has both AMD and Intel server chips seems to be carrying it a little far.
All i have to say is OMFG WTF!!!!
