Very impressive.  Almost a whole GHz OC.  If you had a gosu liquid cooling setup, maybe you could have even hit 4 GHz?

I shall attempt 4 GHz tonite with my setup.  :happy0203:

W1nTry, why you said you sacrificed some memory bandwidth?

It looks like you getting a better set on the 3.7 vs the 3.2 and 3.6

Benchies run @ 1360x768? Scores must be higher at a lower resolution. Wa kinna smartman thing is that.

he's been running his benchies at that kinda res since his 4400+, told y'all about it, no issues found then...lol. ultimate gamer also had a suspect res in his bench some time ago too, gone unnoticed. Set strict standard so everybody can see it in the benchmark section, or make it manditory that everyone show their res in 3dmark06 or something.

Those aren't even my default settings. My HD doesn't support higher than 1360x768 on the VGA and the DVI-HDMI cable I have had issues not displaying at 1080i properly. Thus I will attempt to get another screen JUST for the benchmarks so keep ur panties on pplz, but as Phi said, this was known prior.

So JUST for yall. Here are the benchies @ 1280x1024 aka default:

Stock

3.6GHz

3.65GHz (Just cause I needed to cross that damn 14k)

3.7 wasn't stable no matter how high I pushed the voltage OR leveraged the clock generator and multipliers. 3.65GHz though is stable, even with Prime95. So i'll take my 9th with my 14k score thank ya

14,759 vs 13,987...See the difference in numbers between 1360x768 and 1280x1024? That is why we have the standards.

Impressive cpu that 720 though. Very impressive. The max you got out of it was 3.7?

I can post at higher, but no benchmarks or stress testing will hold. I would need even better cooling. The Xigmatek does well, but I am thinking water cooling, or at least open case in AC XD I guess I could do that too.

As for standards, hey 720p IS 1248x720 which is the 'default' on 3DMark when I am using my HD. So as far as standard goes, 1360x768 was pretty standard :p but since yall so insistent and all XD Iman tote the LCD from the study. But doh study, i'll push that score up into the 15ks again later this year... but i'll not divulge too much about that.

I guess as more men start using wide screen monitors, the "default" screen resolution will have to amended???

No...even with widescreen displays, 1280x1024 is the default resolution, once the lcd supports that resolution, be it native or not. The only reason W1N ran into the trouble was because the tv's max res is lower than 1280, but all others would be able to run the standard default of 1280x1024. As i said before, you can run any res you want in your personal benchie thread, but for the porposes of the top rigs thread we should use the default res.

Seeing as it takes some time to burn in a CPU I decided to try my hand at OCing a bit more again here are the results:

So I got it up to 3.7GHz stable, 3.8GHz still alludes me even with very decent air cooling (AKA open front panel on case and AC). Just to give you an idea of temps:

And just for old times sake Super PI
