I’m asking, whats the most balanced fighting game

Tekken 4 not balanced. Sorry to say it but steve and jin ownz all your bases

T5 Quite balanced most balanced tekken yet

TTT second to T5 better than T4

vitua Fighter 3/4 from what I've heard is about as balanced as T5.

Morta Kombat most are balanced save for Mk trilogy For the Nin 64. Sub Zero was way to powerfull. Too manny moves. He could be beaten but he just forced u to turtle way too much.

Street Fighter most of them no. Ex2 has some character balance but as with all SFers way to manny Character counters. Turbo Hell no. Super  Turbo and super somwhat. Alpha 2-3 decent balance. #rd strike maybee don't play much.

Killer instinct 1. Possibly. The game came down to turtling and playing a tired mixup game in order to bait the smallest most reliable none Combobreaker combo off. Most people had huge recovery times on Broken moves and could play the mixup game and combo game well.

Killer instinct 2. Probably the same as 1 with supers.

Xmen VS SF and all variations. Probably, don't give a fuckk cause the games is just to wild and masher friendly for my taste.

KOF all King of fighter have a satisfactory deal of character balance tho tthey vary and they do have god tiers.

So with that said my order of balance would be...............Tekken 6..... HEH HEH just kiddin.

1) Tekken 5, never has thier been more dispute about the tier ranking in a game.
2) KOF 98, Yeah baby
2)VF 4
4)Mortal Kombat 2
5) Killer Instinct
6) Mortal Ultimate/Trilogy, Minus hidden characters
6) Tekken tag/3
SF EX2/Super SF/Alpha
8)Tekken 4
10) And yess the most broken fighting game ever is SF 2 turbo Yahhhhhhhh!!!!

T4 so close.
Jin/Steve
Ryu/Ken.
Brunette/Blonde
Focused Driven for a cause type that likes to travel to the mountains and train goody/Cocky, Punkish Rocker type, kinda bad ass. Edgey.
Now u can so see why namco did it.

Soul Calibur 2 is also a pretty balanced game.

Not to mention one of the best fighting games of all time.

1. Virtua Fighter Final Tuned
2. Guilty Gear XX #Reload
3. The Rumble Fish
4. Street Fighter 3 3rd Strike
5. Tekken 5
6. Soul Calibur 2

That list is based on the ability of characters to win at high level play regardless of a tier system.

No SF game prior 3s has been remotely considered balanced, however SSFT2 did come close. To have any Mortal Kombat or Killer Instinct game up on a balanced game list is just wrong. Both were insanely broken especially KI. This is why you will never find any vids of KI being played anywhere. VF is the most balanced game period,nothing can ever contest it when it comes to balance. KOF hell no , 2002 and 98 were probably the best for tournament play , Neowave probably a bit more balanced than those two.

Yup @ rumble fish , Imperial has it too. Was playing up the other day and did a 30hit combo.....it did less than 30% damage using a full bar. I could upload some short vids of it, if i could get this upload thing working.

I beg to differ on a couple things rb. I didn't even know there was a VF Final Tuned so I can't comment not to say i give much a danm anyway. Anagin GG rumble fish don't know probably  don't care.


Here's where it gets sticky. 3rd strike no way. I have to admit its one of the most balanged streetfighters out there but thats no compliment cause they certainly don't have any role model peers. I don't realy play the game much but my partner will tell u Gouki, YUn and whatever his other chinee brother name is and ryu wons evryone in 3rd strike. And they're just to manny....... how can I put this lightly, Streetfighter 2 vegas in the game for it to be balanced. Men like necro Q, 12 doh stand a change against the top guns. It could never be more balanced that tekken it's probably on par with tekken tag or somthing.

Probably u never played mortal competively but 4 me that was one of the few  other games I played as competitive as tekken and I have to say your wrong. All besides Sub on the 64 version were quite balanced. I could pick just about anybody and give a rumble. Kille instint the same cause the game wasn't really that deep apart from combo value. Can't rate calubur cause I never really played it. I only now started playing KOF competitvely so i'll still have to get back to u on it but from the official tier ranking or 98 there are only 3 levels yashiro and goro being god and then evrone else fit on the other 2 quite evenly divided and they arn't quite far removed from each other. but IMO mortal trilogy is more balanced than 3rd strike.

With the exception of Yun everyone else u called there was mid tier.  The tiers look like this for 3s

Top - Yun , Ken, Chun Li ( no one stands out they all cancel each other out)
High Mid - Dudley,Makoto, Urien* (* probably down to mid by now)
Mid - everyone else
Low - Sean

As for MK..Stryker,Human Smoke and Ermac own everyone else for free. I used to play UMK3 competitively back in the school days. Oh I forgot Kung Lao.

KOF is probably my favourite series of all time, if u ever want to rumble I'm game...if I can dig up the rom from somewhere.

Those sure are some odd opinions as far as 3s goes.

Gouki and Yang being top tier is almost laughable.  Gouki has speed and power I'll admit but he's very much stoppable.  Akuma's weakness lies in his inability to take punishment.  One good combo or even one well placed super damn near puts him in the grave everytime.  Even worse if he's crouching when he takes damage.  

Yang, I can't really say anything than his mobility is what keeps him alive.  His mixup game is limited as are his anti air options to be considered top tier.

Yun on the other hand I'll admit is top tier because of one thing.  His most deadly weapon is SAIII.  But then again, I wonder who down here has a good SAIII Yun to show you that he's top tier?  I've played a few Yun guys in my time with SF3.  The only one that used SAIII was rb.  I was eating that GJ bs till the point where I just waited till his super time ran out and rushed the hell out of him before he got the chance to build another super.  I think I lost that game.  We played best of 5 and he had to get the super eventually.  By far the most broken thing in 3s is that one super and folks down here don't use it so we got it made down here for now.

I'll tell you what though, you bring your partner to come with those people and I'll play my usual Dudley and Urien we'll see how top tier they are.

BIG LOL @ Trilogy being more balanced that 3s.  You really need to get a copy of Ekhim Khan's MK vids.  115% combos MIDSCREEN!!!!  I'll see if I have any to upload later on in the week.
