Watercooling should be your last resort (except if you want to do it for fun, if you have toe money or for a quiet pc) there are other things you can do first to carry down those temps.

Good case that allows for proper airflow in and out the case.

Proper wire management that allows for better air flowyou can either strip those flat cables or get some round cables and neaten them up. etc.

If a little noise is not a problem get better case fans. e.g. thermaltake 80mm smart case fan 2 moves over twice the amount of air than those stock fans, over 73cfm. just that it's loud but you can adjust the speed when you need to.

Better power supplies push less heat a generic 500w ps will get way hotter than an antec 400w ps doing the same work.

A good cpu cooler and some artic silver 5 will make a big difference. all copper heat sinks is the thing. was doing some oc'ing yesterday on my old amd 2600 ran it @2197 on 1.8 volts. and the highest it got was 35 on a thermaltake heat pipe tower with  a half deat 80mm fan doing bout 2500 rpm. if that was the stock cooler the temps would be almost doubled.

you can check your cooling options for other stuff as well e.g hdd, chipset, video card. you can take hdd out of the equation of you have a proper case that allows you to mount a fan right in front of them.

if some of the above are not perfected, you will get temps higher than what you supposed to get if you do go water cooling. it's cheaper and more reliable and safer to get the best out of air cooling.

cdx2k1 , is 'cool and quiet on' ? what are your case temps and is your mobo running the latest BIOS ?
i think C&Q is on.I'm not sure because the reason it's on or of is because it didn't make a diference whether it was on or off in the first place.I think I have the latst BIOS  .I'll check and get back at u fellas! [_[

Well I saw this post back up so let me reply.I updated my BIOS to another one and the temperature issue is fixed. The only thing i face is getting a good cooling solution.I think i'm going to go watercooling because this chip gets damn hot when it's o/c.Thanks fellahs.

Athlon XP 1900+ with Thermaltake 6cu+ cooler and 2 case fans (intake and exhaust). It's not overclocked and runs between 52 and 56 C depending on the room temperature. A toasty 60-ish under load.
Have you ever wished things just were?
