What's up...i recently bought a C-Media 8738 6 ch Sound Card. It uses the AV512 chipset. I hooked them up to a set of Logitech Z-640 5.1 speakers.

My problem is i can't seem to get any sound from the center channel. I tried using the multi-channel test demo that came with the mixer software. For the center i am getting sound from the subwoofer alone.

I have my 5.1 enabled in the control panel and also the mixer settings.

Anyone can gimme some help :-(

The only way the center channel works is if i set in the control panel "surround sound speakers" . But the subwoofer does suffer on that setting.

ask someone to come check it out.until then u can play up with the settings

I install the latest driver from c-media site still nuttin

Maybe is jus ah lame card ?

It cost $85...lol

The card's chipset is a Cmedia 8738.

Should work. Check your speaker connections.

return the card and have the store check it for u

check for nu drivers.. be sure you uninstalled yur ole ones from machine .

yea and check the registry too.that gave me hell with a video card i have
