I have a 120GB and I have a feeling I will run out of space pretty soon. Would not mind upgrading to 250GB. The question is the price of doing you own upgrade vs Microsoft's HDD drive.

LOL, but seriously I think I deleted all demo and it still feels like it did nothing. What i can do is delete installed games that I don't play often, like "cough" Modern warfare 2.

It's possible, will see how things look in a couple weeks an update you guys, as it is i have about 6 months of Live gold to make use of and a handful of older titles to trade in @ sheltech, so i may just decide to join the bandwagon.

Ok cool vibes, just make sure to get it NEW so that you can utilize the VIP code for the FREE maps..otherwise you would need to buy the Mappack seperately for 1200 points I believe if you buy the game used.

Halo Reach still not running at true 720p


Graphics have never been a strong side of the Halo series, and it looks like even Halo Reach won’t be pushing the limits, as the game is build on the same engine as Halo 3. However, this time, the resolution has been upped a notch, to almost 720p. The first run-downs and tests of the beta reveal that the image outputted by Halo Reach is still not a full 720p image, as the resolution is 1152 x 720 pixels — true 720 is 1280 x 720.

If we recall correctly (Wikipedia does), Halo 3 ran at 640p, upscaled to 720p. The native resolution of the game was 1152×640, so it appears that Reach adds another 80 or so lines of horizontal resolution.

However, this is no indication of the image quality, as Reach, judging from the beta, appears to render sharper images, better texture quality and generally display more eye-candy than its predecessor.

I don't think they should bash the resolution of the game MGS4 was like 1024 x 768 native res and that looked pretty damn good.

but anyway the sp of halo never interested me, was always a mp game for me and that is where it shines imo

yeah boy, I tried at least twice to finish the halo storyline and fail. And I'm a big fan of the series, the chief and the canon.

that's no diss to Halo though, as the same is true of pretty much all the multiplayer games I play. Never finished starcraft, any of the Warhammer games nor battlefield.

Only notable exceptions are half life, cod4  and MW2.

Getting back to the resolution, I remember being shocked going from Halo 2 on the PC at 1920x1200 to the murky mess that was Halo ODST on the 360. Had me fiddling with settings on the TV and 360 thinking I did not enable HD or something. Changing cables from component to HDMI. no difference.

Saw so many  high res screenshots online that I thought my setup was fubar. Then wikipedia explained that the game runs at that super low res. STEUPS

Was hoping Reach would up the ante.

Same applied to God of War 3 on the PS3. The graphics pales in comparison to my PC games.

Meh I think it will always be so, remember pc hardware always advances whereas a console hardware cannot be upgraded. That said the games don't look bad but you just can't expect same level of quality when compared to the latest pc hardware.
