But if u read d xbox live terms of agreements or rules dey say if u do so u cud get banned.
well you can read it and believe that. You will not get banned. Put in your auntie US addy or something....anyone you know that would allow you to use their US addy. I used my OLD university addy in Canada that I left ages ago...and NOTHING happened. Its fine :)
Apprentice is right....Caribbean market is considered Latin America..the Caribbean market itself isnt even in their demographic.

Gates: 360 To Be the Most Reliable Console Available
« Reply #763 on: January 10, 2008, 01:30:05 PM »

The BBC News had a sit down with Bill Gates at CES recently and instead of asking him their own questions, they asked him their viewers.

We've had a lot of questions from people who weren't really happy with the kind of service they've been getting from Xbox in the last few years... What are you going to do to ensure that new consoles are more reliable than previous versions?

Well we certainly had to apologize to our uses about a number of box that had to be replaced. We did that for free for all of those people, we've gotten a lot of positive feedback about the way we handled it. We've got incredible reliability on the new work we've done. Our commitment is that it will be the most reliable video game box out there. People really love the Xbox because of the content, but we've got to make sure that the hardware never stands in the way of that.

Later in the interview he was asked about Vista and the possibility of releasing a version that would be no-frills, but still support game playing.

Neat motion sensing tech which looks like playing Wii, without a Wiimote and on an Xbox 360 sometime in the future??

Setup a DMZ to your Xbox360 IP, or forward these ports to your console.

• UDP 88
• UDP 3074
• TCP 3074

The Truth Behind The Red Ring Of Death
« Reply #767 on: January 22, 2008, 03:58:27 PM »

Jake Metcalf over at 8Bit Joystick.com has recently posted an interview with an "individual who has worked on the Xbox 360 project for many years", who goes into explicit detail about the extremely high failure rate of Xbox 360 consoles since the console's launch in 2005. While normally we take such anonymous interviews with a grain of salt, you may remember Metcalf as the man who broke the story on Bungie leaving Microsoft a week before any official word was released. His source details everything from the various reasons for failure, and how much Microsoft knew about the system's instability before the product was shipped. If there's truth behind this, it's downright disturbing.

Quote
The manufacturing test equipment had major gaps in test coverage and wasn't reliable or repeatable. Manufacturing processes at all levels of suppliers were immature and not in control. Initial end to end yields were in the mid 30%. Low yields always indicate serious design and manufacturing defects. Management chose to continue to ship anyways, and keep the lines running while trying to solve problems and bring the yields up. Whenever something failed and there was a question about whether the test result was false, they would remove that test, retest and ship, or see if the unit would boot a game and run briefly and then ship. 360 is too complex of a machine to get away with that.
Metcalf's source also cites the lack of a sufficiently staffed and skilled engineering team causing problems that could have been easily avoided had proper funding been given to the project.

Reasons for the failures vary, but the anonymous interviewee narrows it down to one main source - the GPU.

Quote
The main design flaw was the excessive heat on the GPU warping the mother board around it. This would stress the solder joints on the GPU and any bad joints would then fail in early life.
Hit the link below to read the whole story on what could possibly be one of the most ridiculous instances of big-business ineptitude in the history of the gaming industry.

This is 1 outta 3 of the reasons why im having second thoughts about buying a 360... 1 outta 3 of the reasons why im planning on buying a PS3...

I was talking on another forum about this same thing, most ppl tracked it down to that same GPU thing... I was one... I also told them when me and meh friend put in de Halo 3, the display was f*cked up by these dotted lines running across the screen... when we tried restarting... the RRoD was messing with us... he said it was the graphics card or w/e... I took this same topic to another gaming forum (cant remember)... but all dat gone now... he geh a new 360 and no problems so far :P

Laptops are usually output only, unless you use a usb based TV-tuner in which case it will take at least the normal RCA inputs... so no high res per say unless they come HDTV ready, in which case you can get 1080i in... but even so, that won't need the Xbox VGA cable... just use a monitor dude.

it wont work like that Rten
I used to use the cable from my 360 to the montior but the way this guy has it is different
it isnt just a 360 running off a laptop but a 360 housed in a laptop case.
