I guess men have been in hiding. Now we have lots of Trinis to sweat Gears of War. Let's really arrange a day and time to meet up on Live. Make a post nah W1nTry....

I don't do GoW MP. If you wanna get your ass kicked in some DOA4 I'll be happy to oblige. I got NFSc, DOA4, and ... some other game right now, I can't remember, came in the mail on Saturday, when I get GoW again I'll holla at ya anyways. Better hope it's before Crackdown drops, cause between the Halo 3 beta and crackdown, you probably ain't gonna catch me on to play anything after the 20th.

dont' hodl your breath. the xbox can't do DX10. Crysis is being driven so hard because of the engine and the publicity for it. It's all about the middleware kids, I don't expect them to port it if it can't look as it should. Do I wanna see a port? HELLZ YES!

And about all this "why camrE didn't state his name and being on live" stuff. I did it a million times back before we all migrated and no one gave a rat's cause no one had an xbox. So I didn't bother anymore.

THe port for the 360 was in the works... but I hear progress stalled. Thing is the 360's gpu is the closest to a DX10 GPU prior to the 88xx series Nvidia cards. It sports unified shaders etc. So technically it should be workable... time will tell. As for the Live part, well you were ahead of T&T since being away you have that luxury... we won't get into that. However for the NOW, lewwe get a sweat going, post in the announcement thread what/when we could sweat see how we can make this happen.

The head at crysis said that the 360's hardware cannot do DX10 in an interview with IGN a few months ago, there was a massive whoop over on the IGN insider boards over it as well, another reason why it most likely will not make an appearance. Someone recently told me he's not too amped over it as well because it reminds him of Farcry alot, which I completely agree with. Farcry was certainly all about graphics and the gameplay was boring as hell. In any case, I hope to see it. You see my tag, add me and I'll add you. We'll talk about whatever, later. Oh, the other game I have is Marvel Ultimate alliance. I didn't even know I rented it till it came on Saturday. If you want we can play any of those :-S

Xbox rewards program just announced and will begin later this month. Basically, they will have different challenges during the year with various sponsors and prizes for people who complete the challenges. Gamers are broken down into three levels by Gamerscore:

Level 1: 0 - 4,999
Level 2: 5,000 - 9,999
Level 3: 10,000 and up

Each level carries bigger prizes for the challenges. The current challenge is to raise your Gamerscore by 1,500 points within a time frame. Of course, this program is only open for US residents.

Interesting... thing about that is, to play on Live you have to have a US address or UK/Japan. So technically Trinis will seem to be in the US.. I wonder how this affects the prize... or rather suppose you win a prize... what then? As far as they concerned you living in the US...

Well, most of the prizes for the first challenge are virtual: gamerpic, theme, Microsoft points, Live Arcade game Contra. If you happen to be in level 3, you will also get a Fuzion Frenzy 2 game. I guess you may have to use a skybox address for that. I am going to try to make it to 5,000 by the time the program starts. One of the prizes in the Level 1 and Level 2 brackets is a level upgrade for the rest of the year. So, if I start at Level 2 and complete the challenge, I will be at Level 3 for the rest of the year (even without having 10,000 Gamerscore).

I don't see what it is about wow that draws people in like that. Rampy ain't been on live for the last 3 days. I think he's busy with the school work or something, been kinda quiet with me too. But back to wow, what is it about that game that makes people give up thier lives and education? The graphics suck, you have to pay a monthly fee, that alone is enough to ward me off, well not the gfx, but the monthly fee. LOL. Now that i bring up these questions I feel like trying it out. hahaha.

True, but this is just the first challenge. Also, this first challenge requires you to get 1,500 new points added to your Gamerscore. Chances are that most people who would scam certain games already have done so. They could have later challenges that reward people who get certain achievements like beating Gears of War on Insane. This is just the first step and I think it is a good one for people who spend a lot of time getting those hard to get achievements.
