Ok so I went to a best buy and 2 walmarts and they were sold out ;(
Then I went to FutureShop and woot! 2dozen in stock.

Did not get the free games sadly but yes TheApprentice has finally "JUMPED IN"

I'll try to get Gears 3.
Should I play gears 1-2 first? Or can I just play 3.
Dont got a whole lot of time to play a major backlog of games =|

meh gears is about mp u wont miss the campaign imho
if u really desperate for campaign tho i remember cliffy sayin they get u up to speed via cutscenes on what happened before the actual game start

No, I suggest you play the campaigns of GOW 1 and 2 first, because to truly appreciate Gears of War 3, thats a MUST!...Given that the latest reviews have Gears 3's campaign to be AMAZING, you are doing yourself an injustice by not playing the first two campaigns first....

I played the GoW campaign and must concur with Redlum, it's worth it.

One of the better campaigns I've ever played.

Not as gripping as CoD's but definitely worth the 8 - 12 hours or so it would take you to complete.

Haven't touched the GoW 2 yet....been holding my breath, waiting for it to be released on PC.

Yup, not that the 'metro bordering on androgynous actions stars of today' don't do a good job (see bourne series), but there's something about the over muscled, over the top, blood all over your kitchen sink and ceiling action star that just puts a 8yr old smile on my face... being a child of the 80s anyways...

I for one thought the first 2 games were well worth the 8-12 hr run through of GOW 1&2 even better with COOP storymode. As for Wyatt, when GOW3 drops hit meh up for GOW2.

I see there's a nice combo pack of the 2 available for $30.

I decided though to get Gears 3 now since all of allyuh getting it. My time is limited so it'll be nice to spend that time playing on LIVE with you guys.
I'll play the Gears 3 campaign first and I guess I'll appreciate all the lead up to Gears 3 when playing 1 and 2 in prequel form.

You must introduce me to this "social" place that is Xbox Live. I know not of it.

Not really. I usually play lonewolf when it came to MPs. As for the trini scene don't know much about trini gamers. Came across a few trinis while playing gears and added them but they're rarely online an usually playing C.O.D.

Some open source developers are trying to create one. If they succeed, you may see a local PSN leaderboard in the future.

I was real amazed to see how high MentalJack scored on the leaderboard Redlum.  The man is a serious contender.

I'll watch my six alright...But fear not, with BF3 and MW3 on the horizon, my Gamerscore will continue to rise

On the other hand, after looking at Mental Jack's Gears 3 achievements, HOW THE F*&^ did he get all 1000 Gamerscore for that already? IMPOSSIBLE....By chance, MentalJack, would you happen to have a modded Xbox 360? Hmmmm??? I call foul play....time out!!
