Dancing without a Dance Pad? A pet game without a stylus or Controller....Kinect is a revolutionary way to play games without having to use any controller...You can control the Xbox with your hands and voice...thats the point. But I guess you missed it...Enjoy the Dildo, I mean MOVE....

I think Vice misses the point that Kinect was developed for MS to capture the casual market with fun controller-less gaming. They've been saying this since day 1 of Natal. If MY mom is asking me to buy a game then they must be doing something right. You really need to stop being "serious and competitive" all the time. However, it would be stupid to think that MS doesn't have plans for integration in a few "serious" games. I don't see Gears getting it or any FPS for that matter to even think that is utterly ridiculous. Adding an additional controller peripheral would go against the controller-less marketing they're going for presently.
Actually Microsoft has much less in terms of risk than the Wii did. Remember this is an already established platform with a huge library of games and a strong online presence with many paying subscribers. Some may say that this is lame since it looks like it is targeting casual gamers like the Wii did. Lets just think for a minute, suppose they did not bother with the hardcore gamer making the kinect only for casual games/movie couch potatoes too lazy to find the remote. How could this flop? They would have a totally new demographic to now push the console to. The system already has hardcore fps games, now it can move into wii territory which as we have seen has been very lucrative. If on the other hand this failed, how much have they really lost in terms of brand image? I think the RROD issue would have been much more damaging to their brand image. In comparison if the Wii did not get it right the console would have been doomed, if the 360 doesn't get it right well it'll just be another forgotten peripheral.Though I must say the Move does not seem as impressive, if both can offer the same level of accuracy I can see the argument for the Kinect, in terms of cost alone as I am seeing multiple users on one Kinect? vs. having to get multiple wireless peripherals for the move.
