   AMD 64s... cheaper , cooler, faster...... the only gaming benchmark i'v seen a P4 win out in is in 3dmark, but in all the real world gaming situations, AMD takes the lead .
     Anyone who picks intel out  over amd for pure gaming, is on serious crack,  Intel only wins out if you need to do   certain types of work regurlarly......  even so AMD  is still more attractive due to  price although they are slower for encoding etc. ....

 athlon 64 3200 : 190 USD
 3.2  GHZ P4 : 280 USD

 the athlon burns 50 watts of power... whereas the pentium burns 130

so at the end of the day, AMD obviously makes better processors , as soon as AMD dual cores come out, AMD's will finally be able to handle multiple threads and the gap between the two will widen.

de mere fact that the p4 could push itself to rangle with an a64 is proof positive that intel is king.

no need to go steal anyones technology to make things work.
big failure that is the xp, amd saves there self by stealing intel tech and making the a64 wow.

I hope alyuh will hush alyuh rass when intel perfects there 64 bit and dual core techs.

AMD didn't 'steal' a64  technology, they made their own 64 bit extensions, and the execution core is based on the AthlonXP.  Intel and AMD have an agreement to SHARE technology, though AMD is using intel SSE3 on the a64, intel is using AMD 64 bit extensions on the Prescott 64 .
   intel still makes great chips, look at the Pentium M ! its just that they are too stupid to admit that they are wrong, drop the prescott core and go back to something more effecient .
