Yeah lastblade is great. But I have little experience with it, only against my brother, they don't have it in an arcade down here.

Guilty Gear responses are sluggish! (I've played the first and second Guilty Gear)
Thaz what I sticking too... I don't like de game, thaz my opinion. When you play a game like Soul Calibur or Tekken...even MVC2 you can see how a fighting game should play like, (minus the cheap stuff in MVC2.)

You can't tell me this game is smooth...you can't even spell smooth right. I'm not a noob to GGX, I just choose not to waste brain cells on a hopeless game. You ever notice the trend of ppl not really liking it? Its not a lasting franchise. Don't feel because you think the game is fine...everyone should praise it. I spit on Guilty Gear. *phatooie*

About Rival Schools...I loved the theme and the graphics...again most times Capcom doesn't add much depth to their games so it got old fast. I'm good at it so I put it in my list of games. ( I haven't played it in a while tho, and I won't.... until RS3 )

Again I spit on GGX *haaaawk spock*

You mean to tell me people don't like Guilty Gear?  The controls are sluggish?
Man you're pretty deluded.  Well I guess there are international tournaments just as with Tekken for it because people want to make Sammy feel they have something good going and then break their hearts when they thing they won an audience.

Guilty Gear has hundreds of thousands if not millions of fans worldwide.  Have you ever learnt how to dash?  Rival Schools is sluggish compared to that.

The game is as Bryan mentioned "a wild man game" I'll admit but even I have come to notice that there is much thought and application of skill necessary to achieve victory.  It also requires you to think at faster speeds as the game penalizes you for playing too defensively.  The fights are overall more entertaining to watch overall because of that.

And the combo system is by far the most original to hit the 2d gaming market.  Every character has regular ground combos or gatling chains as they're called.  Apart from those there is an air combo system as well as character specific combos such as the :

Dust Loop with Sol
Bubble loop with Dizzy
Dog Loop with Zappay
Vapour Thrust loop with Ky(gay name)
Raisaigeki Loop with Axl
Bomber loop with Axl
The Mist Finer/Coin loop with Johhny

Anyway, tommorow is only a day away, and I try to be a person of action so hopefully you'll see how SLUGGISH the game really is.

I haven't played CvS2 in a months and I think I could take pretty much everybody out when I get my rhythm going.  Anyone willing to contest?

BTW BM, if your friends ps2 is modded then I'll bring my TTT.

I have no problem with that. See sigey. They're not to fight against in VS  but they make arcade a little bit more intresting.

Good Sweat fellas.

I can only comment on what I've seen for myself and the people who I played.  It all blurs together so let me know if I get anything wrong here.

I got there around after 4.  Saw the usual suspects plus the south crew who I sweated with.

Team Kara EI was on the scene
RB
Chrono_X
Myself

Others I've seen there
Bryanmaster
Baego,
Orochi
The south posse (Drl, Derek, Gregory)  For real, you guys need callsigns

If your name isn't there its probably because I either don't like you, I don't know your name or I just plain forgot.

As for how the matches went down, it was all good fun.  Best sweat I been to in a LOOOOOOOOONG time!!!1one

-------------------------
Guilty Gear XX
-------------------------
I played the rep of the south crew in this when I was settling myself in the surrounding.  I really do have to say, he need to train a hell of a lot more.  I was missing stuff HARDCORE and he still lost to me.  He beat me in one or two but that was before I started using my own controller (which still sucks)  The whole of TKE took it to this guy for real.  RB especially owned him while he was playing EX Sol and Justice.  Now it doesn't take much sense to see that if you lose a game of GG while using an EX character, that it says something about your skill.  By far this dude (who's name I can't remember) was the most talkative of the bunch as he kept getting owned all over the place.  If he dared play me in XX rather than reload, he'd know new pain.

Orochi put on a good show in this as I've never played a decent bridget since ever.  Had a hard time adjusting to stuff I was seeing for the first time and his playstyle solid and usually not repetitive which was good.  I forgot how the games went with him anyway as I confuse him and the south dude for some reason.

----------------
Tekken 5
----------------

I came here to see Bryanmaster against some dude.  Matches were fast paced and very tactical in nature.  I saw that Wave dash thing with Kaz in action from Bryan.  The mixups looked effective.  Anyway, I jumped in the fray.
I played Bryanmaster, DRL and other random folks I can't identify.  I didn't lose as many games as I thought I would have with my Steve.  Had a hard time with the finishing touch on a few of the rounds against Bryanmaster though.  He played well and brought back those rounds from the verge of death.  That and the fact that I real lapse.  Good games BM.

DRL on the other hand was a different matter.  I think it would be fair to say we stand on even ground almost.  I was able to take out his characters at least once with steve and my marduk.  Oh yea, it seems I'm the better Marduk player atm.  I missed a Prison Step juggle which could've won me a crucuial round against the guy.  Good games DRL  Nice King skills I must admit but I think some of your juggles have unnecessary hits whereas you could do simpler stuff for more damage..
The controller switched hands coz somebody was eating ewgfs from my kaz like hot doubles.  Dunno who that was though.  I could swear I played DRL with Kaz though, I can't remember clearly right now.

-----------------------------
SF 3rd Strike
-----------------------------

This was a concentrated session between myself and Derek.  Bryanmaster to Chrono X to RB to DRL to the arrogant GG dude was in on this.  Bryan master won a game against me if I recall correctly as did DRL I think.  Maybe I'm wrong about him winning here.  I just kept track of games vs myself and Derek.  We had about 3-4 sets of games.

1)   Derek won 4 - 3
2)   Derek won 14 - 13
3)   I won 9 - 1
4)   Can't recall how it went.  Maybe Derek would enlighten us.

We were clearly evenly matched up till the point where I believe Derek lost focus and fell out of his groove.  Which is what caused the 9 - 1 thing.
Very well played games I must admit.  I have had hard times trying to reason with south fellas that grabbing is part of most fighting games.  (I'm not saying to grab all day, although sometimes you may need to in order to win against parry happy people)  Derek adapted well and it was basically an even onslought of wit and skill with matches going either way, much props to him.  I think people who witnessed the matches would clearly tell you that Urien is nasty.  People were eating unblockables and dropping like flies.  DeathbyAegis rules!!!

-------------------------
Soul Calibur 2
-------------------------

I only played Greggory from the south clicue in this.  I feel it wasn't worth mentioning because I played a few games with him down in the dreggs ( he was playing the whole time HARDCORE with some dude I can't Identify.)  His thumbs were sore and his execution was off a tad.  Looking forward to getting a proper sweat in with this one.  Good games anyway. I saw the battles with him and the Unidentified player.  Some nice sets with some intense battles.  Went up and down from what I saw.  You know I believe that was Graeme but I forgot what he looks like.  Baego will have to confirm that one.  If that's the case, he is a boss at SC.  That's all I can say basically.

Anyway, again this is from what I saw and who I played.
To all present, good games, good atmosphere, good people.  Keep that sh!t goin for real.
Best sweat in YUUUUUUUUUUURRSSSS!!!!!1

ps Feel free to add your comments on what went on.

Yuh have potential x I see it. But bout steve tho, he's like ryu in SF turbo to me. I can read him like a book. My partner uses him and we have a sort of rivalry with him going on so i know him well. Granted tho that u do have diffrent play styles, but it would hardly be anything new i'm seeing, cept of a few setups and combos, expecially the albotrose combo that I finally know how to get. Keep practicing against good players, we'll fight again, we didn't get to fight much, only one round, due to the fact that I wanted to get some 3rd strike games in and some food in my belly ^_^. Next time.

Gulity gear, No nothing about so I didn't watch much. I watched the red fella on the big screen ownin in Soul calubur, too bad I don't know how to play that game.

I got a few games in I wasn't owned, thank goodness, still got more practicing to do to come on par with Derek and Imperial. I beat derek's bro prety badly tho ^_^. Derek took reveng tho . Gotta practice mainly some combos and some parrying,  I'm a strategis so I was able to adapt and get some wins but I still got to practice. We didn't get to play and Hyper tho fellas....

boss sweat indeed.

Can't wait to see some of the footage from that video camera. You could get that to me drl? Will organise to have it hosted on the site so all and sundry could see a sample of the beatings.

Most of my time was spent on Soul Calibur 2 this rounds.

Gregory and I had a score to settle from the last square off. Unfortunately, I still got pwned. Had a good run up to the early 20s, but the man power up with Pizza and was lihixxxxxxxxxxxxxx immc from that point on.

Final Score.

G Won: 50 - 36

Ran up against DRL Voldo again, but only for a couple game. We tied on that. 2 - 2

After the cutarse, Graeme jumped in the fray to represent for north better than I could.

Graeme won: 50 - 45

Damn close score.

The man is truly a boss in SC2, but Gregory ain't no slouch either. Last time I played Graeme, we ended up 30 - 13 in his favour, so to go toe to toe with him is no easy feat.

Too embarassed to make mention of any Tekken matches I touched. Really Really Really need to work on my game before entering the ring with these fellas.

Marios was not so fortunate. He made a good showing with a Family Hawaiian but got wtmcOMGpwned!!!!one!1111!

Baego Won: 12 - 0

Lihixxxxxxxxxxxxxx in dat pizza mc. Serious battles iwmc!

Shout out to Kayode who provided us with the modded PS2 to run the third strike as our original copy was mia.

suhuweat!!!!!!!!!!!

Bryanmaster, the thing about Ryu is that you can know how he plays and he'd still be able to own you.  That's pretty much years of shoto history for you.  You have yet to see my Marduk and Bryan in action.  I'm sure you know the Bryan stuff but Craig should give you an interesting run I believe.  Anyway, next time indeed.  I'll run you some hyper and whatever sf you play for real.

No posts from DRL on the sessions yet.  Wonder what could be keeping him.

Oh yea, a big hard luck to the same loud mouth dude who had a nice setup but couldn't hit anyone with a Raging Demon to save his life in the 3s.  That was good playing....all 3 seconds of that.

No CvS2 run anyway, although I was out of practice, I would've enjoyed that.  Again, there's next time.  Hopefully I'll get there earlier.

Yeah ppl... the sweat was raging!

I have footage of some dred Tekken matches...(I wish I could have gotten some 3S too, but I had to leave a little earlier than expected)
I'll have that footage edited chop chop and passed on to Baego.

The loud mouth arrogant GG dude is Damien... I apologise on his behalf, I don't have a clue what got into him. I didn't watch much GGX games but I think that he got licks in that. I saw him play a lot better in 3S...

Gregory had a good time with Soul Calibur, I'm sure...
He work that Talim out. Baego work that Taki out and Graeme bring a dred Misturugi...
My rusty Voldo didn't prove his worth this time.

Derek handle his scene in 3S. He take real long to show up though...but I'm glad he did.
I play a few 3S games, with Ken and Sean...but I really didn't get into the game as much.
Imperial plays a good Dudley...to bad I didn't get to see his Urien.
I saw Bryan play a lil 3S as well...

Tekken was a lot more fun this time...more players...more variety...more competition

Graeme (sorry if the name spelt wrong) played with Nina and Yoshi
Bryan played with Bryan (of course), Devil Jin and the Tekken misfits ( Jack 5, Kuma, Ganryu etc. )
I (DRL) played with King and Marduk
Anthony played with Christi and Lei
Baego played (only 1 game) with Devil Jin
Imperial played with Steve and Marduk

(I think we can put together some interesting feature videos for fun next time. Just like what you would see on TekkenZaibatsu.com or the EVO videos.)

I hope the next sweat is this Sunday... I can't wait to fight these ppl again..

Thats why I say we have to run some hyper. Nobody can own me with Ryu or ken, My balrog is unstopable vs them. We'll have to see what u can do VS him. But its tru that he caan own u if u know him well still, and its because they made him much too powerful, either way, Balrog is a hidden gem.

And to datta, who is u agai leizuya right. Correct me if i'm wrong. If you intrested in central chech with RB, he planing somthing in central.

Steve is good despite his utter predictability in terms of overall strategy for the same reason Jin was so good in T4: he quite simply was made too good.

Too many low risk, high reap moves.Waay too many.
Even if you just sit and block Steve all day, he can still fight effectively because his moves offer so little chance for retaliation.I was taking a run with him the other day and I was astounded at just how powerful they made him.

datta, it does run from 2pm - 10 pm.

We will be there earlier, but that is the official times.

Sundays, Console and BYOC action is free (as always)

Yea, RB is a central man, if you looking for a beating closer to home, he may be able to facilitate some lixxxx.

If not, make the trek and get a gang bang.

Yeah I know what your saying, but steve still has weaknesses IMO. He has to be really close to us his best low afcouurse there's albatrose but, that will get Pwned by me cause it's slower in nature. I'm just saying that I know him really well, alot better than he might know my bryan.

The funny thing is that I got the framedata for Marduk the day before.  I practically redesigned my playstyle with him in one day.

I'm gonna put some effort into the poking machine called Nina and see if she sticks.  Hopefully there'll be some simple button buffers I can come up with to use her chain throws with the regular arcade setup.
