like i said it was just an idea from my bosses, but we could still try, how about you link me the website  / or place that sells these Warcraft Battlechests n i'll handle my end, cause we could do the $100.00 per person for sure with a smaller prize, but my bosses where thinking more large scale. i.e. a prize for each member of winning team, rather than a team prize.

i would support them cause if we want to move forward into 2005 - 2006 attending international tourney n such one would expect that the ante would be raised. n i am quite sure if men working n could play d game they would save the money needed for event n attend in full force... (if they serious that is)

we cannot be like everybody else and want to pay small money for big prize and /  or expect to reach far... come nah man people....

Virtual Zone is willing to SPONSOR a ticket to EVO2K5 / 2K6 if things go well... (<-- meaning they must get support from fellow gamers and regulars.) besides think of the possibilities here, i mean when didi you ever here a GL offering to send someone to USA to compete in Electronic Sports?

how about this for prizes for the team, 100 a man 2 enter, d winning team gets 3 wc battlechests which consist of wc roc, wc tft game guides etc etc....dat would make more sense
If you play a WC tourney, then we can assume you own WC3 TFT, it may not be a legal copy but you do own one. Then why would we enter a tourney jus to win back the game -_-'
noone plays ROC really and the game guides will more or less be lame and out of date...

oh yea i agree with Killa, $1000 is way too much no1 will be willin to enter

yeah $1000.00 is too much

and winning copies of the game is lame.

better to give the cash equivalent, so it has universal appeal. That way the winners can take the cash and buy whatever they like.

The only time prizes should be given is when a sponsor is marketing a product/service and it is cheaper for them to supply that than cash.

the way things are shaping up it might be wise not to go to evo this year , they moved the location to las vegas which has complicated things ALOT with respect to accomodations etc  also no actual location has been decided in vegas as yet.

well it is the thought that counts!

No other GL has positioned itself as a sponsor for that big a venture. Not even Euro back in it's hayday under my direction.

Support idmc!

all de more reason to ensure de prizes for de mini tournies are slick to snowball into the big ones planned later on. Don't wanna discourage VZ at all!

Money motivates all.

If the winner wants, they can buy a battle chest or a 6 pack of Malta.

is a win / win situation. Money = uber prize.
