AMD Core revision

 AMD is revising their  Athlon 64  and Sempron cores, slowly bringing it all over to socket 939 and 90 nm process , and adding SSE3 support all round . This is good because we can now get more performance , for less money, less power consumption , and better overclocks .
   The first chips  will be shipping tomorrow , and the new 90nm replacement for the athlonFX the Athlon64 4200 will begin shipping april 15th . These new chips will not need a bios flash to WORK, but it will need one to fully implement the SSE3 instructions .

 apparantly it is more than SSE3 , also an optimized memory controller , and an improved silicon process that boost clock speeds by 16% over the winchester ( overclockers REJOICE!) .  That means a Venice 'E' core could enable AMD  to sell  2.7/2.8ghz  AMD64s . ( 116% of  currant 2.4ghz = 2.7ghz )

I am curious to find out when these things will be available to us? date? cause the way I see it, Intel is making such a loud Hoora about their Dual core CPUs that in the least AMD should hurry their @$$es along with these cores.

they are supposed to be shipping all now, silenty replacing the currant Winchesterc cores.
