ShoPro Entertainment, Inc. has announced today that they have aquired Television, home video and merchandising rights to Naruto for both North and Latin America. The show’s television and and key liscensing partners are yet to be decided upon, though a decision is to be made soon.
Naruto was first started as a manga in 1999 and was then made into a graphic novel in 2000, currently in its 26th volume. Naruto the animated series debuted in Japan in October 2002. The target audience for Naruto is said to be “tweens and teens” thought the show as well as its toys have attracted consumers of all ages.
