Nice update Prowl.

Impressive figures. Where did you see Beomagi's? I must have missed it in this thread??

whoa! that's an awesome score Jedi.

one thing, could you post the update with the standard benchmark format for this thread as well as the 3dmark pic?

makes it easy for tabulating on the front page and for seeing the specs of your machine at a glance.

Example:

Czar:
****
AMD 64 3500+ stock
DFI LANParty nF4 Ultra-D
eVGA 256MB 7800GT CO
2GB OCZ PC3200

3dmark 2001 23120
3dmark 2003 15490
3dmark 2005 7367

Yep, if you watch the progression of my hardware upgrades, you will notice the biggest jump in performance is when I got this 7900GS.

It overclocks nicely as well, even though its overclocked from the reference design by BFG already, but for long term I prefer not to do it.

I noticed you were running 3dmark06 in 1024x768, Mine was run in 1280x1024 ( default ) retry it at that rez to compare since my 05 was over 10,000 and my 06 was 6,000 when run at defaults ( oc'ed to hell tho. ).

My monitor cannot even DISPLAY that res, so I wont even bother with 1280 x 1024 until I get an LCD.

I play games at 1024x768 anyway.  Anything higher than that will impede frame rates, even
with this card.  At that res I can enable all the 'eye candy' settings and still maintain a smooth frame rate.

1280 x 1024 is playin 'biggish'.

what monitor is that Arc?

Find it hard to believe it can't do 1280x1024

We had a bunch of AOC monitors that failed to do the res until we installed the correct monitor driver (imagine that, installing monitor drivers, lol)

Its a 15-inch AOC, black and silver.  Don't know the model.
If I try that res the screen goes off and I get an 'OUT OF RANGE'
error on the screen.

So that out.
