2001 - loves low latency high fsb.

2003 - is mostly card clocks dependant. High CPU Mhz will not make much impact as youd hope.

2005 - Utter torture all around.

its 1 am sunday.. technically this is a new week :P .

3dmark 2005 uses GPU power more than CPU, my first run i got 3500 flat, on 2.2ghz cpu, 550/1200 mhz GPU . The second time i overclocked to 2.5GHZ cpu and 554/1200 GPU... and i got 80 points higher... i think if the CPU power was in demand, 300mhz would bring more than 80 point .....

damn, that is some serious power.

I can't break 1000 in 3dmark2005.

the 6600gt pwns indeed.

yeah, wouldn't expect cpu to be much of a contributor. So long as it's respectable, 2400+ or greater, the vid card will be the keep back for real world gaming.

Anything less and you may have to worry about some AI intensive game dropping your frames due to cpu usage.

Yo Hidden ur post is what I consider spam, at least say which benchmark 3DMark2003 or 2005? and show some kinda proof. I would guess from ur low score that its 2005, all the same post a screen capture to validate ur score.

Gatt has lots of powerful gaming systems waiting in the shadows. We can easily do top 20 if only they would bother to come out.

ok, this was a brilliant thread but it didn't seem to progress the way expected.

All that may have been missing was a lil more management.

A lot of scores have been posted, but their isn't a single easy place to view 'em and compare 'em.

The plan is to collate all these scores into the very first post of this thread. That should help bring some order to the benchmark chaos.

That way we can see at a glance, what specs our gamers have and what scores they got.

Feel free to go into indepth score reporting in your own benchmark threads, with Super PI, screenshots, the works. We will pick out the key values and drop 'em in here. (Namely cpu speed, mem, vid card and 3dmark 2001, 2003 and 2005, whichever available)

Mods, if you see a score lingerin around the forum that isn't collated here, feel free to drop it in!

Many hands make for light work.
