You decide when the character design team crossed that line.

Jinpachi and Heihachi are 2 different people

Jinpachi is Heihachi's father

1. About time they made Anna look like an attractive woman, and not like a s(whistles).

2. About time they made Devil Jin a character. Hopefully, they're not pulling our legs here, and he is actually playable.

3. What the heck? Isn't Jinpachi DEAD?! O_o;;

...very nice finds, camRe.
However, you should consider using Imageshack (http://www.imageshack.us ) to host those images....they are wreaking havoc on my and other 56K browsers right now.

From what I hear, this Jinpachi has a projectile unblockable of some kind.
Consciousness yearn to kill
To re-affirm the will,
Zealous I burn the drill
Forging, I mould the skill.

Naw I ain't feeling this Jinpachi biz. It seems like too much at this point. There isn't any story available so it may be too early to make harsh sspeculations. I don't like the look of the character at all. Jinpachi seems like too much. Why does it feel like Heihachi's  Devil form. Even though Heihachi does not have the "Devil" gene. I don't know. We will see when the game drops. I don't like the horns on Jin either. He looks silly!

*Edit* I just found this on a fan site. Don't know how true it is/

The father of Heihachi Mishima and grandfather of Kazuya Mishima...

While he was alive he was a proud father, who hoped to see his son, Heihachi, become victorious in life.

However, he saw the evil that was in Heihachi's heart and tried to fix his will so that Heihachi would not inherit anyhting.

After learning about what Heihachi done to Kazuya (throwing him off the cliff), Jinpachi took Kazuya in, shielding him from his father and step brother, as neither would openly cross Jinpachi.

He eventually dies, and unfortunately fails to avert the Financial Empire away from Heihachi's grasp.

Jinpachi doesn't take an open role in the comic, as he's dead when the comic starts, but I thought I'd just write this here so you guys know about the guy that it all really started with.

lol but i still say they coulda squeeze him in better. They could have said all those things about him if he was not so demonic looking. The idea that came to my head is maybe heihachi use cloning on his father body who he knew was superior to him. This would make sense to me

You're forgetting one thing.
Movies based on video games are hardly EVER canon.
Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Resident Evil....all of them were movies based on games, and yet did not follow the canon storyline of the game. Tekken is no exception.

...besides, if the movie followed the game, how do you explain Anna's appearance? She was, after all, eaten by a dinosaur in the movie.

But, all things aside, let's wait and see just how Namco plans to explain Jinpachi's return. His current bio only gives details up to the day he died, and is very vague on how he returned. Talk about not leaving the dead buried, huh?

Jinpachi does seem a bit overboard but no more so than Yoshimitsu, Kuma, Dr. B, Alex and Gon.

Namco never had a believable, credible, cohesive storyline going with Tekken. If it wasn't a fighting game, the story would seriously insult the intelligence of a 12 year old. lol

At the end of the day, so long as they throw some good kick and punch, it's all good.

ps

though it was inevitable, I ain't happy about this Devil Jin business. Taintin my mc character mcs!!

lol
son tried his best to stay away from the Mishima madness.
He pretty much succeeded, cept for that mc Devil gene that haunts him.

The Mishima / Kazama storyline ain't half bad, cept for Kazuya surviving the Volcano. That was utter madness. Genetic re-engineering my mc.

Hwoarang's is pretty decent too.

Unfortunately, the same can't be said for all. The inclusion of the characters mentioned above are laughable.

Left up to me, they would be included as "bonus" characters without trying to explain how they fit into the story.

This is a failing of most any fighting game, btw, not just namco.

Don't even get me started on some of those mcs in Guilty Gear X. lol

actually I think this Jinpanchi Biz is a cheap cop out, for lack of a good storyline. I, like everyone else is not sure on what is happening exactly, but they extract the one and only, pure, consentrated, unadulterated, illest or the killest, Heihachi Mishima to include Jinpanchi. Oh god nooooo

Actually, Jinpachi's pretty much okay in my book, provided that they at least give a semi-rational explaination on how he came back from the dead AND provided he kicks ass. That's all I ask.
