Dual Core benchies

http://www.hwupgrade.it/articoli/1193/index.html  , Some italians scored a dual core AMD sample and benchmarked it, the thing is faster than 2 P4 EE's or 2 Opteron 250s running @ 2.4ghz, this must mean that the core's SSE3 optimizations are helping it ( not by much though)  !   Even in single processor mode it roasts  2 P4s @ 3.2 ghz .  
    With the die size of one of these at 168mm2 (theoretically, 2x 84mm) , they should also be affordable , and we might even see them in the sub 300 US range .  
   VIVA AMD !

its bieng owned by  a dual xeon rig with hyperthreading ,  which doesn't have 64 bit support .... imagine  this processor almost halving its times soon as a 64 bit version of cinebench hits daylight !  
   Or imagine having 2 of these processors in one rig , for the same price as your dual Xeons .... true quad processing  , or maybe 4 ! i'v seen a quad socket A64  board once .  
 
  point is , save up your pennies for  one of these , or maybe whatever intel releases .  
   And just to whet your appetites,  dual cores will fully replace single core processors in the 150-250  USD price range by 2006 , and quad core processors will be available  for people with bigger budgets , all thanks to   TSMC's 65 nanometre process .
   Seeing as everything is moving to multicore , the question is not whether or not programmers will start makign multi threaded apps , but when .

No Crixx ur dyslexic, it shows that the only way 1ntel beats @MD's DESKTOP processor is with its SERVER level dual Xeon with hyperthreading (the benchmarking suite is prolly aware of this and thus takes advantage of this feature hence the VERY NON EXISTENT lead it has as it seems like a 4way system). Now lets wait till te dual core Opterons come out then if its still being owned u can speak. Sit at the back of the class in the corner facing the wall now u 1ntellite.
