As alot of gamers (PC) know, gainward are known for their ever so lovely golden sample Graphics cards, usually overclocked by default and can be overclocked to the hilt compared to any other manufacturer. Now envision Golden sample Geforce 6800 Ultras PCIe in SLI, now you may not think much of this... now add water cooling into the mix and you get... well look and see... suspected to go after the 10000 3DMark2005 score, or ever break it altogether!

SLI is seriously overrated : ony 15 games are supported by SLI drivers , half life 2 , doom 3 , farcry , etc. the big benchmark ones, if you want to play Riddick or need for speed underground you get no more performance than a single card .

Well obviously they would stick to it, thats their only trump card right now, ONLY way to keep the bragging rights to have the fastest gaming rig, also as time progresses the game support will increase, also it strikes me that all games under the 'the ways its meant to be played' initiative will support SLI in their new releases... so... whats ur real scene?

yes but alot of good games will be affiliated with ati eg. HALF LIFE II !! Raven shield, Tribes : vengeance and not support it !

My understanding was that the game makers don't have to support it...nVidia simply has to make a profile for the game and include it in the next driver revision...

Besides which...you of all people should know that you can make your own profiles for games manually...no need to wait for nVidia to release new drivers with support for that new game that you got the day it hit store shelves...

Yuh have nvidia goodness in yuh rig now, but still trying to beat dem dong.

*sigh* yu acting like nvidia not known for their awesome drivers.

Pfft, mellow yuh vibes little one.

The gold sampling is veryy intriguing.

I did a few calculations back in my day (lol) and the performance gains from gold buses and cooling plates ranges from 6 to 35%.
*drool* all your benchmark are belong to gold.
