DDR II to be dropped !

intel plans to drop DDRII from its next generation chipsets , even though the latency and performance issues are being fixed, they still prefer the cheaper DDR 1 400 .....
    We can also expect cheaper RAM soon, samsung is moving RAM to .90 manufacturing process, more RAM chips per wafer, better ram, cheaper RAM .

they ain't fully launch new chipset and they decideing that already not a chance trini. with smaller chip price going to drop latency will be lower in the new ddr 2  they going to change they word again . I remeber a time when intel first start p4 say only sdram and rambus . saying ddr will die and is not important. well look what happen they back track rather fastly since price  of rambus and speed of sdram wasn't cutting it . they will change their mines again next year

As many of the review sites have stated...DDR2 simply doesn't make sense until it goes significantly beyond current DDR speeds (400MHz)....i.e. until it starts doubling that speed to be DDR2 800MHz and beyond...once it starts clocking those kinds of speeds...it can compensate for the increased latency of the technology and start giving some meaningful returns to the end users.
