Wang is good.  The only person I find useless to me is raven.  That could soon change after I get his combo lists down.

Steve is GOD tier bitch!!!!

I've been seeing a lot of Marduk players in the international scene and I have no cluse why....other than he has some good stuff up his sleeveless shirts.

Yo Exar, you up for a few matches?  I think the memory card deal could give us the same IC card feature thing.  I want to test my Sage lvl Steve against some real comp.

And the BEST news for us Trini players.
Bryan is top tier!!

Ain't it grand that the best player in the country who uses Bryan anyway now gets an overpowered version?
Ain't it grand that poor Exar now has to learn a new character to back up his Christie. Why does this happen to me EVERY TIME.
Used Baek and Bruce in T2,gone in T3.Used Jin is T3,well that's okay.Used Kazuya in TTT,crappy in T4.Used Jin in T4,crappy in T5.Tell me people, who do you want in T6?Devil Jin or regular Jin.I'll just start using the one you don't want so when Namco ineveitably screws me we get the popular Jin in T6.

And Devil Jin is looking pretty good.Kaz has made a HUGE comeback as well after his crappiness in T4.I'm also hearing a lot of good talk about Wang, strangely enough.
yeah @devil jin being good. you saw de devil jin combo exhibition trailer on tekken zaibatsu?

You don't know about the whole IC Card deal with T5 arcade?
Its a memory card of sorts I believe.  In the arcades you get these cards(don't know how you get them) you are able to save one and only one character on it.  Push in your card in it loads your stats as well as your customized character like from the home version.

You fight for money and whatever and gain ranks etc based on combat.

The memory card saves all your character data and customizations and loads it for use against your friends.  The good thing about the feature is that using items gives you no other advantage other than looking cooler as compared to the different weapons in Soul Calibur.

Oh yeah,I know about that.
But how is that relevant to Trinidad?

There are machines/cards down here?

And about the match,it'll have to wait for a bit.As you can no doubt tell,I get screwed every new Tekken.I have to train up some new people.

is there a cheep a** person like eddy or christy in tekken 5 cause then that would be reall ballz i hate those players
There's nothing cheap/cheesy about Christie.
There's only people not comprehending how to block low.

How nice that Namco abandoned the whole concept of Tekken 4 fighting [_[
We've gone from the very strategic close up jabbing game back to the old power game from TTT.Wonderful.
 [_[

My Jin is now completely useless since Jin is now a castrated prat.
I wouldn't say T4 style is gone. It still plays alot like t4 but just a mixture. Jabs still have high pryority with little push back. Its just that everyone has enough crap to deal with it now (like steve and Bryan) that you don't get clausterphobic. Kinda a risk reward game with jabs now. The only thig I don't like is that they kinda beefed up d+1 IMO. Altho it comes out a tad slower now. It now has duck under pryority so in a sitution where it usually won't be able to counter, for example after bryan's b+1 f+1,2,1 trick, u can now just tap d+1 since its a high string. Its all good still sice hopkicks and other jumping moves gos over it but i just don't see it as being toned.

Small thing. He would have been TOP tier in T$ IMO if they didn't f with b+1. Even without JFLS escape. . But alls well I guess :P . Bruce in T2 was the gayest charcter ever. Right there next to T4 jin. PS why th F@$# dose steve weave and SS now. Like if it wasn't gay enough  \

Who ooks solid to me so far are

Steve, obvious
Bryan
Jin Still has some useful tools
Paul
Raven
Feng
Wang
Ganryu don't underestimate the fat man, he has some tricks up his sleve.
Rojer
Anna, probably cause I haven't got used to her new crap yet.
Law
Heihachi

Maybees
Devil Jin. Still trying to get acustomed to him in this T4 TTT mixed atmousphere.
Oh yeah and mokujin. Once he changes to one of the above :D . Tis all over.

I disagree.
The game has reverted for the most part back to the power moves and juggling of TTT.
You won't see people playing the close in game like in T4.Everyone is going to be spacing now for power shots and launchers.

Just look at how the new characters were designed.Asuka is pretty much vintage Kazama who are of the old school in the first place.I don't have much experience with Raven but Feng Wei is built completely for the old school way of playing. When using him,I find myself looking for the quick up close poke like Jin's 2,1 but Feng doesn't have any.

Compare with how Steve Fox was built in Tekken 4.Very powerful up close.Namco clearly built him for the jabbing age.

I'm not complaining so much, but T4 style really was a lot more elite.Much less of a chance of a fluke victory for someone when you have to work for every sliver of damage.

Raven is the combo man as far as I'm concerned. He got some flash crap.

But I feel you on combo potential. That bryan vol 1 is crap to what I feel vol2 would be. If u see some of the comboes we've now discovered for Bryan  .

Ond he ain't so much a Blade rip off as just a look alike. His style and personality are very diffrent, If u go through storry mode with him you'll see.

He looks like blade and acts like he's from Tenchu.

Raven has a 100% wall combo and Steve has an easy as hell mid screen 100%

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but Heihachi isn't in the arcade version right?  I'm playing him at home and the kind of damage I'm getting is wrong on many levels.  Blowing up mishimas increases their attack strength I guess.

Man, after going through the moves list with Roger Jr, I'm a believer.  Gonna start playing this kangaroo soon.

And yes, I'd agree that Jin is rather useless at higher levels.  I'm crappy as hell and I see half his tricks coming a mile away.  Gotta drop Steve and play somebody else soon.  There's Bruce but apart from his cool looking-ness, he doesn't strike me as solid.  Nothing abusable there really IMO.

Devil Jin isn't in the arcade version I believe.  Neither is Heihachi.  On tournament level, they would be probably unusable and even if you could select them, they'd be banned for some period of time.

Exactly what happened to Sophitia and Charade in Soul Calibur 2.

Heihachi and D.Jin are in the arcade version.
However Heihachi has a 'broken' move:2,2,f+2 which has caused him to be banned in Japan.

Damn.  I haven't seen him in the arcade select screen in jap match vids.  Then again, he probably wasn't unlocked.  Same for Devil Jin.  Was he banned as well?  Haven't seen any jap matches with devil jin players either.

D.Jin hasn't been banned as far as I know. But really, there's no reason for him to be.
He's not really overpowered is he?Even at Jin's height in TTT when the South Korean elite were EWGF and Wave dashing their way to victory against everybody,Mishimas still were not banned.

I don't even know if old style Jin is possible with DJ but I would think not.If D.Jin would be banned then they might as well ban Steve,Nina and Bryan as well.
Heihachi was banned specifically for that one move rather than overall sense of power.

Well the phone lines in my area are down after some mofos cutting the line , anyways i been playing around with t5 in my spare time , i'm trying to confirm if asuka has an infinite off of 1,1,3 near the walls.  I've done it training mode and in arcade mode against the pc. Can someone confirm this ???? , I don't have the time to check Zaibatsu. I'm in a netcafe atm.

I don't think when they say dj and heihachi was banned it wasn't permanent. Heck it tecnically wasn't a ban. Its just when time released characters come out they can't be used in tournaments until a certain time in order for people to get used to them and all the wins they getw won't be off just because people arn't acustomed to them yet.

About bryan also. He's still gonna be my main tournament wise, but evryone's good in this game so u can be sure you'd see a host of characters from me. I can probably use arount 10 so far.

Bryan, DJ, Steve, Bruce, Ganny, Kuma, Raven, Feng,Jack 5, lei, Kazuya, Kuma and last but not least lee. Some of them I'm still getting familar with. Got a pretty solid bryan Raven Bryuce and pretty decnt ganryu so far. Fear the power of the almighty fat one I tell yuh! He's to be reconed with. So far my wall games stron with only the three i mentiond being solid with.

About heihachi. Most of his new moves, besides 2,2,1+2 are unsafe to some degree. He's not that big of a threat. That move isn't gonna help hin much with the likes of steve and bryan sadly. useful but not abuseable. He has some decent tools do I see hi m being roun upper mid lower top.

I can't wait to put a beating on that steve.

It is a bit worrying that Jin has been nerfed. I suppose if you can't beat 'em, Join 'em.

If I can't pwn with Jin, (oh the horror) I'm gonna have to become Bryan's protege.

Teach me oh great one!

Christie is gonna be dancing all over the place so fast you won't even know what direction you're being hit from.

It's been quite a while since he last fought but I've long fixed all the vulnerabilities. And if my girl doesn't suffice,I have some new surprises to throw out.
