I'm interested in it, but to me, personally, final fantasy feels the same everysingle time i play it. No matter the "drastic" changes which actually turn out to be subtle. They need to put a new feel into it, i think they should start with a real feeling storyline, and a decent wardrobe for the characters. Maybe this is why i like VIII the most. The characters felt normal, they looked normal, for the most part that is. But this really does look to be a good "final fantasy" game.
And as I sat down on the couch, reached down and grabbed the controller, I most nonchalantly looked over, barely gracing him with my eyes. I uttered calmly these simple and truthful words. \"Spread ur cheeks and bite down, cause now you are F*@%ED!\"

I disagree with u there nytemare, I do think each had a different feel and honestly I thought FFVIII was a step down from FFVII, I agree the wardrobes in some are a bit out there...(head swirls with bad images of FFX2) but I think VIII was too easy and the chars were a bit too boring at times. The title is final FANTASY, if you expect to get normal go play something else... normal just should not be their thing and rightfully so its not.

The same team that worked on Vagrant Story worked on this.

Same designs, and a real-time battle system from what I've read.

No more random battles or swirly-screen/breaking-glass business. Yuh just walk up to enemies and share licks. Or at least, that's what it sounds like.

and plus its a sort of spin off from the final fantasy tactics

bangaas, vieras and Nu somethings

takes place in Ivalice from FF:T and TA

rumour has it that certain items in TA have descriptions that relates to FF12

good looking with that info kayode, it does have that taste of vagrant story. Yes, final fantasy did have some serious valleys, but it did have some serious peaks too. still my favourite,  honestly the easiest i have played was X. it was slow, short, and easy. some of the requirements were simply outrageous. you all kknow that i am referring to the lighting dodge. thank you macro controller. lol.

Ploi! Return of the Chocobo Knights!!!

As usual different ppl have different opinions of the FF series....Undoubtedly each is a varied as the other appealing to fans on many different levels. Final Fantasy X was the highlight of the series for me. The story, the soundtrack , the battle system and the sphere grid all woven together with seamless perfection.

*SPOILER ALERT!!!*

Only the weakness of Omega Weapon disapointed me in this game. I loved this title sooo much that i played through the muddle that was X2 to 100% just to get the final ending of Tidus and Yuna....

If anything, X2 has a BIG shadow to overcome if it wants to find its place in the sun.

Edit by NEO: Next time, be careful when it comes to spoilers on the forum, Papasmurf.....there are some of us who hasn't reached that far in the game as yet!!

Well of course i'm looking forward to it because it's a fantasy, but personally square enix RUINED X-2, it was extremely annoying and the only reason i played it to the end (not even 100%, i borrowed a friends memory card to see the perfect ending) was because it was a fantasy, i thought maybe it may get better but really, it was very very disappointing. as for 12, im hoping enix doesn't ruin it too. the only think graphix wise that looks impressive so far are the chocobo knights... the gameplay graphics are veyr similar to x-2, somehow i think they need to try a different approach to the humans, it is a bit repetitive. as for VII, i can see why everyone would think it was the best, judging by a ps1 game its real gd, but VIII was my favourite, i agree with a previously said statement on the dress etc., but FFX was the best one made so far, in terms of everything.

i would like to say if they slapped a different title for X2 it wud be accepted more

cuz i loved x2 not for the story but for the fun factor and the replay value

i kept telling my self "this is not final fantasy, this is teenage powerpuff girls" and i had a good time doing so....

i think we cud jus put spirits within and x2 in a lil box and lock it, yeah?

Ok, this thread is about FFXII but to go back on the talk of the previous ones, the whole  intrigue of FFVII was the graphical inprovement. Honestly I think (my personal opinion) is when you go from a 16bit cartidge game to a 32bit four disc game that spans over 20 hours its gonna seem like the greatest  thing on earth. as for X-2, they should have called it FFX 1.2 or something to that effect. they had alot of guts to even release that game outside of Japan.
