3 words...Holy freakin crap! :shock:

The graphics are simply stunning...no two ways about it. It's not quite the same effect as when you first walked out of that tunnel in Far Cry to the lush tropical landscape, but when you see it, you'll understand. To sum it up...John Carmack has done it again.

Atmosphere is everything! Everywhere is so dark and the lights are flickering and sometimes they flat out go out for a lil bit...and it's not like the flashlight can light up the whole place...which, while realistic...makes for a VERY creepy setting. Hell, I had to stop and breathe for a bit a few times well and I hadn't even squeezed off a round for the game yet.

Finally met my first couple zombies and I didn't want to move another inch from where I was after I took them down. The intermitent radio chatter of marines screaming didn't help much either...word of advice for the faint of heart (myself included!), do yourself a favour and have someone sit down next to you to hold your hand and wipe your forehead...turn on all the lights and say some prayers before you get going...don't say I didn't warn ya!

A must play for any FPS fans.

1. REALISE THAT I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO PROMOTE PIRACY IN THE FORUM.
2. what hardware are you playing it on? settings? frame rates?
3.screenies!

Forgot to mention the in-game settings that I play with on my rig...

Resolution: 1152x864
Video Quality: Medium Quality
Antialiasing: Off
Vertical Sync: No
All other Advanced Options: Yes

I tried bumping up the Video Quality to High but the game became unstable when it went into the movie sequences...

i conducting it at 800x600 high quality, i never try to go 1024x768 nah. go try that later

i think Half-life 2 will own Doom 3. That doesn't mean Doom 3 isn't a great game, and it is. Show these devs that you care about quality releases: Buy them both, starting with Doom 3.

Not you alone nah boy! I open it up to play again this morning before headin to work and I ent get very far nah...I literally walked out of the elevator and the lights went out and I was frantically fumbling on the keyboard for the flashlight key!

Looked around the room I was in and noticed a tile on the floor was out of position and a red light was eminating from beneath it...I decided...you know what...me nah need dat kinda pressah before wuk
