All i want is a pc that can run games like BF 1942 etc. smoothly. Does anyone know any websites/ ppl who want to sell a gaming PC (preferably brandname).

YOu will prolly want to go to GATT HQ , make sure baego not high at de time... accept nothing less than a PC with:
AthlonXP 2500+ or P4 2.2-.4 ghz .
Radeon XXXX with at least 64mb of VRAM and no 7500s!
or a Geforce 3-4 TI vid card
256mb of DDR 266 or better
mobo wit agp 8x and 4+ pci slots
40gb + HD
for 9-10k TT
if you feel cheap.....:
Athlon XP 1600-1700+
Geforce 2 ultra 64mb - Geforce MX 440 + 64mb video
or Radeon 8500-9000 64mb
256mb of cheap ram
40 GB-60GB HD
mobo that can fit it all
for 7-8k TT
STAY AWAY FROM FX LIKE PLAGUE , make sure you got a CD drive that does't burn out like my brother's did....

games like BF need LOTS of ram and CPU power , vid cards don't really matter once they are above Geforce 3 TI level . oh and make sure you got a  port for LAN gamez
