It's appropriately so, given the circumstances. It's not a bad thing. Like I
said, the only part that had me steupsin, was that train.

Train scene was one of the best scenes in the movie, both the action and the
aftermath.
What I liked most is that it wasn't a rehash of the original with a new
villain. All the characters seemed to have grown (especially Harry Osborn),
and the story went in a real different direction that the original only
hinted at.
It was just better than the first in all areas. Mad.
