I was thinking that a price war might occur after seeing BMW partner with Apple (seen the ad?)
We may get a couple othe manufacturers jumping in..both from the automobile side as well as the electronics.

Important yes and worth every penny if you're into gadgets the way I am and (assuming) you are.
However, if it's one thing I've learned about near cutting edge kit nowadays, is that price wars do not apply.
They are produced in small quantity and will quicker turn a collector's item than a cheap barbain buy off overstock.com
There are tons of ipod-ish devices out there, yet they all are asking a premium. None are being cut throat and under pricing the competition the way you'd expect.
