There is a W2K/XP command line argument that restores TCP/IP services to
their defaults.  Should take care of any TCP-IP hijacking.  The
reference should be in the MS Knowledgebase.

Try running CWShredder.  Did you update the Spybot and Adaware to their
latest program and reference file updates?

Are you running SpywareBlaster?

Honestly, the best solution is "use another browser", but if you want to
convince yourself that IE works for you, more power to you.
