I simply use the free version of Zone Alarm, but I want to know what you use even if it's hardware. Also what anti-virus are you running, I'm using Norton but what are your thoughts on AVG anti-virus etcetera.

I use Kerio Personal Firewall, also free.

Better than ZoneAlarm from a technical stand point. Works well with VPN products (a must for me)

I also use the bigger brother product, Kerio Winroute Firewall as a corporate strength firewall and gateway. All around solid family of products from Kerio. Mail server and all.

For antivirus, we use something called AntiVir. It's free and from germany. Synth showed us this one. It conducted a scene where Norton had failed. We've been fans ever since.

Baego I did a quick search so it may not be precise but Kerio Personal Firewall was priced at $39 and Kerio Winroute Firewall at $400+ so where did you get Kerio Personal Firewall for free? AntiVir also had a price tag.

Kerio Personal Firewall is free, I'm using it right now...don't be duped into paying the $39.00
That is for advanced functionality, just like with Zone Alarm. They start you off in "pro mode" and after 30 days you can continue to use the free version without the extra features.

Antivir is free true and true. Virus definition updates are free as well.
