Boom
The 9th National marks our first foray into the land of the ancients for 2016. Auspiciously held on New Years Day.
After being unceremoniously denied his hat trick of Dota domination last week by Xjin, DaemonX called in reinforcements. Summoning the kings of the sleeping forest to rouse from their slumber and wage war against the Dragon Knight.
When the dust cleared, the Storm King and the Wind King (DaemonX) reigned supreme.
Rounding out the prize podium is Criminal, with stellar support and grit across the three hard fought games.
Wounded and defeated, rumour has it that Xjin now turns to the Horsemen of the Apocalypse in a bid to put the kings back to bed at the next National, carded for Friday January 8th 2016.

At the 10th National, it was neither the horsemen nor the kings that would claim victory.
Instead, a lone journeyman would emerge from the shadows to steal souls and podium placements.
An unholy alliance maybe required to deal with the new threat.

Congratz to our big winner and newcomer Cole who successfully dethroned #journeyto6k during the skirmish at the 11th National! A triple OD performance that boasted 29 kills in game 2 was more than enough to take the double title.
Gratz to our other winners Pipboy, Xaeno and Quinnagan. We had a record 5 games last night with an attendance of around 44 people. Boom!

The changing of the guard continued at the 12th National. PipBoy made short work of the opposition
with ember spirit to earn his place on the podium. Proving his game winning performance last week was no fluke.
Joining him are two other new faces to the DotA winner's circle. King of Pirates and M_Illusionist.

Huge congrats to Team Cole. The Flow National eSports DotA 2 Champs for January 2016. Earning US$100 for their efforts.
The Horsemen (Team LGE), The Kings and Team Press R, All paled in comparison to the strength of Cole, Journey, Spawn, Kite, Desertraider, fkacn_tt and younggod of Team Cole.
It was to be salt for the kings in game 1 as Daemon's LION in support role was unable to stop the onslaught of Cole's SVEN and Young God's SF, meantime the horsemen lost an epic struggle to Team Press R via some great leadership from last weeks' super MVP M_Illusionist. Things heated up in the final game where Press R and Cole brought out the big guns (cole subbin out chad and fka for journey and kite), but Illusionist' Bloodseeker wasnt enough to hold down Journey's Templar or Cole's Earth Spirit. Meanwhile over in game 2 for 3rd place, the horsemen soundly defeated the kings through a godlike performance of Sub's LINA.
Again gratz to Cole and crew for taking the first 'team battle' themed nationals.

Congratz to the winners of the 14th Nationals: Memories
It was a long and tough National with cameos from old players like Confessor, AK and [BWC]-Shredder but it was Warlord who would steal the spotlight. Skipping Game 1 (earning zero stats) then jumping in Game 2 for an amazing 44 kills with Slark. After which he put down a beast Arc Warden in Game 3 to take the MVP title. Tying our highest recorded MVP score of 69 from a mere two games, well done and well played.
Cole was relentless, scoring kill after kill while losing Game 1 as Clinkz and fought tenaciously through game 2 and 3 to earn 54 kills and the title of Best Carry. Beating Warlord to the punch by just one point. Cole was not left unscathed as he racked up a massive amount of deaths in the effort, tying with DesertRaider at 25 points for the Sacrificial lamb. Meantime a mere Daemon on the sidelines with a cunning Zeus landed himself 35 assists to earn Best Support for the night in an EPIC game 2 vs the MVP Slark. That marathon of a game lasted 70 mins.
Journeyto6k was a close runner up doing great things on the other side of games carrying his team with Invoker and Shadow Fiend but failing to take game 2 despite a strong 18-8 Obsidian Destroyer performance.
GGWP until next Friday.

Game 1A/B
Well is was a fun start to the night with Freddie Mercury taking techies top specifically with a plan to cause ColeTeezy and his antimage some serious tears in lane, this gave Hunty's slark and M_llusionist's QoP plenty of space to dominate the early game but that wasn't enough to keep AM down for long, with teammates Daemon on Zeus and Archville on Undying, the team was able to stall and assist Cole enough to help him turn around a 0-9 tearfest into a 20-9 spree of vengeance.
A much darker story unfolded in Game 1B, it would be Confessor on a quardruple moonshard tiny making men feel sick with teammate RT omnislashing like a champ on juggernaut, as well as Tomahawk's Mirana: landing himself as many arrows as deaths. Past favorite Pipboy was unable to hold off the onsalught with a well farmed slark despite meticulous support from Xaeno on a roaming ogre magi, and Saxman on a bane elemental, whom by game end was quoted saying he now knew true frustration.
Game 2A/B
An agitated Xaeno came full force for Game 2B bringing out his starkiller enigma, this time Pipboy would take glory, bringing out a templar assassin to face-off with Confessor now playing a slark as if to taunt his enemy's performance from the previous game. As the game got hot and heavy Confessor began to spiral out of control after dominating his lane and making effective rotations with many assists from Sub's Rrubick. Even a determined Crackerjack on safelane void couldn't hope to change the equation with some timely chronosphere/blackhole combos with Sub's Rubick effectively dismantling their strategy repeatedly. Then disaster struck, rubick had to d/c, a disheartened radiant tried to ride confessors coattails to victory still but alas it was now uncounterable wombo combo of black holes and spheres with templars dps to win the game.
Meanwhile over in Game 2A, Daemon grabbed Pudge and ColeTeezy picked up ember and they were back at it again, with heavy support from Archville's Veno and Hatorade's Enigma. Over in the enemy camp AK took up his ole fav Zeus, Painful grabbing a Crystal Maiden, while some newcomers from team NSS on Phoenix and Spectre made up the opposition, however this was faaar from enough to stop the surprise onslaught by the Ember, towards games' end there were only the faint whimpers of souls that had been reaped into piety, moaning eerily from the enemy fountain: Cole on a literally unstoppable 37-3 run.
Game 3A/B
Game 3B would prove even more woeful for Xaeno, picking back up with ogre magi and linking with Pipboy on a windranger for some revenge, but there would be no vengeance only sorrow as JourneyTo6K made a surprise appearance to play in game 3 with a vicious 21-4 mid Lina backed by Devious on a tankmatic Bristleback and ShinyZubat on Disruptor.
For Game3A the pressure between ColeTeezy and Confessor reached a head and the allstar match began. Daemon picking a Spiritbreaker to gank was surprised to find out he was carrying as a RAD Invoker took offlane and ColeTeezy's Windranger took to the mid with Firas on a very effective support Skywrath and Hatorade tankin it up with Undying. Across the border Ogeester appeared on an Earthshaker followed by Confessor on an Ember mid, Archvile on a roaming Tuskar and Mercury on Lion to support the Sven of Reckless. The game was too filled with epic moments to cover it all but needless to say it was a great game. There were a good few jokes had at Sven's account. Linkenspheres were enough to trip up the carry breaker while Confessor continually split pushed with his Ember. Cole and boys tried to get something going forcefully, but the team was stopped by Ogeester's Earthshaker every time they seemed to be on the cusp of victorious fights.
