Has anyone been successful in ordering stuff from newegg.com with their local credit card?

No.

Newegg does not accept international (as in non-US) credit cards.  Full stop.

There's no way around that.  No shortcut.

You want something from Newegg, you either ask someone in the US to buy it for you and ship it to a skybox, or you mail them a good old money-order and buy stuff yourself.

A money order has a small fee attached, and takes approximately 9 days to get to them.

I know all this because I bought items from them already.

Amazon ftw.

Newegg can go #@&% themselves with a mandingo-sized one.

I have bought from NewEgg many times in the past as well and it really isn't worth the hassle for minor savings

Amazon is consistently reasonable, reliable and gives no trouble at all with local credit cards.

If our money isn't good for  NewEgg in this day and age, let me join in the chorus by saying to them, respectfully....hymc.

Yes I know this is an old thread but I wanted to reply anyway. I share your feelings on this, but but but recently I was able to purchase from Newegg, I bought a cpu and motherboard for a friend. I put my US shipping address as billing address on Google Wallet and the order went through. Just thought I would share that with you guys.

It also worked with PayPal also on a mobile device. I haven't tried in  long time though. Funny enough I ordered switches each time I tried in the past and more recently.

In the past my uncle used to purchase from googlegear/zipzoomfly and newegg using a money order.

Now he uses the Aeropost "paste link and buy" feature to get stuff from newegg or similar sites that don't accept international ( non-US) credit cards.
