You should probably be looking into AMD APU bundles as that should more than handle COD and Steam
yeh i was seriously considering that but can anyone here vouch for the heat of that cpu while gaming and the performance?
i saw wizz had a phenom 9750 for $500 if i could stick a gtx750 that could be solid but idk much about the 9750 tho
Nah that 9750 is old school ting, too weak, had one before, it 'meh'. PLus it's a socket am2+ cpu and boards for those scarce/expensive.
A friend of mine selling ah phenom ii x4 965 BE cheap if u want, 125w version, socket am3 $225 with an amd heatpiped copper based heatsink/fan). You can get a good am3/am3+ board from wizz for $550 (Biostar ta970, have a friend using that with the 8 core u sold me, very solid board), 4gb ddr3 is abt $350 now, vid card you might have to get used to cut down on cost or import one, case and drives affordable locally. Suggest u import an ssd, would make a world of difference in gaming and overall system speed.
I had ah gtx 750 on ah i7-3770 system and it maxing out a lot of games at 1080p (nfs rivals, borderlands 2 for example).
The AMD FM2/FM2+ bundles good for gaming as said before but to me they more suited for htpc/hd video/streaming use. SOme of the cpus get a lil too hot on stock cooling cuz of the built in radeon graphics, had two setups before.
Had an athlon 5150 quad core 1.6ghz socket am1 cpu and a m-atx board as my htpc and it performed very well for those purposes. CPU was a 25w so it ran very cool and the whole system was pulling abt 90w load (1tb hdd, optical drive, 4gb ddr3).
I eh go lie but should go intel one time and done, u wouldn't have to upgrade for a good while. A haswell quad core and compatible board will serve you fine.
