FS: EVGA GTX460 2Win Video Card
« on: March 27, 2014, 07:31:20 AM »
Selling this EVGA GTX460 2Win Video Card.

I've had it for almost 2 years, much of which it sitting idle in its packaging as I have no PC capable of powering it.

Essentially "SLI on a stick"

Performance-wise, it is equivalent to GTX 580, 660, 660 Ti.

To run this card you must have:
- A PSU of at least 750Watts with 2 8-pin PCI-E connectors;
- A case that can comfortably fit a 12-inch long card. Said case must also have very good ventilation.

Only known issue: It seems to not like to give a display until you actually hit windows desktop.

May 2014 Edit: Tried out the card again on a Dell PC with no on-board video and it worked perfectly. Display from the time you put it on.

Asking Price: $1100 or best offer. Looking for a quick sale.

PM or Post if interested.

Man sorry to say i try this thing on 4 diff systems and that edit u made not fully accuarate.

I does HAVE to see my post screen on all my pcs since i overclock and use the bios a lot.

2 h61 boards, a z68a board and a p45 board not showing anything till desktop load and that cyar work for my applications at all. And moving an azza genesis case to plug tings into is a chore for me cuz of the size and wight of that thing.

Honestly i dunno why u didn't return the card  when u got those probs in the first place nah.

If u want i can make vids of all the setups and link dem to you, my old as gtx 295, gtx 660 and gtx 670 and ah 8800gtx working fine from power on, me eh know wtf going on with this card and i spend hours testing on it.

Update 5/27/2014: SO today after much more testing and nutting working i decided to try the  mini hdmi pot with a n adapter to the monitor.

Amazingly it showed everything at boot, ssd bios, post screen straight to loading windows. Took off pc for a 20 minutes and tried again and it worked.

WIll continue testing later today and give a final update later . Sli works and well 3dmark vantage running fine.

Running on the z68 board right now, worked before on the p45. Card was meant for the z68 system so that mor e important.

Funny how the hdmi working an dthey said to use specific dvi ports although they working as well within windows.

Update again: booted up system cold start, display thru post to desktop, not bad.

Still eh understand the mini hdmi thiing but i eh complaining since it runs quite silent on gaming (running Rage right now).

Gonna give it a next go in the morning and see if i can save u a trip 'down south'.

At this point it looking like you get thru. Never had a mini HDMI connector to test (never thought of it to begin with either).

Great stuff.
